  • Bye-bye Suzuki. Vinales will be joining Yamaha next season, partnering Valentino Rossi for the next

Motorsport.com is reporting Movistar Yamaha has secured the services of Maverick Vinales for the next two seasons.
The young Spaniard will thus replace the departing Jorge Lorenzo and partner incumbent Valentino Rossi.
Vinales reportedly made the decision at the recent French MotoGP, where he scored his debut podium in the MotoGP class for the Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP team.
It has not been revealed indeed who will replace Vinales at Suzuki, with many touting current Ducati rider Andrea Iannone as a likely candidate.

Let it be official. As of now, only a person who "knows" about it has informed Motorsport.
I'm not saying that the person is wrong, but it is quite possible that something else takes place at last moment, against expectations. Business world is like this only. Things might change before the contract is actually signed.

We know how the drama is... Even a spanish newspaper claimed Dani is on Yamaha, so can we just go about accepting every considered reliable source as news?

Re: Rumour - Dani Pedrosa close to Yamaha switch?

that we confirmed through reliable sources

Well, it appears that Andrea Iannone's last-turn gaffe at the Argentina round definitely helped ruin his chances of staying at Ducati. Sources tell us that he was called to the home offices at Borgo Panigale today, ostensibly to inform him that his services would no longer be needed after the 2016 MotoGP season. Other sources also tell us that Andrea Dovizioso has been offered a two-year renewal contract to stay at Ducati Corse, and that it is likely the ink has already dried on his signature.

And the majority wins! A boy like Vinales got a great chance to be on Yamaha, more so teaming up with Rossi, hope he makes the best of it.
Finally, The Berlin Wall falls down in 2017!

Most of Yamaha fans must be happy with this, because the work environment which was negative due to clashes between Rossi & Lorenzo, should hopefully be better now. In fact, I'm amazed that despite carrying such an environment, Yamaha still managed to win constructors' championship in past few years!
But now we should see positive work environment at Yamaha Garage.

        Dear Dani Pedrosa fans,
Don't flame me for this statement, but unless Dani changes his nature tremendously, he won't win the championship.
Racers are going nuts, taking risks, and riding massively hard, where Dani is just the safe rider of the lot. He's just too softened by all the injuries over the years, and he has hidden fears in his subconscious mind, I believe...
And with Lorenzo dreaming of hitting new top speeds on a red bike, Rossi getting so damn close last year, and Marquez in a bad mood already, Pedrosa seems to have enough to deal with.

I can bet, I'll pose with a bald avatar on Xbhp, if he wins a championship in 17-18, but I know that he won't win the cup so its a safe bet..
I'm his fan, he's a nice guy, the kind I would make my brother on a Ladakh trip. He definitely deserves a title for his pure talent, yes, I agree. But sadly, this is real world...

I would have love to see Maverick get better on the Suzuki over the course of the next few years.
And would have really like to see Dani ride an M1. (His closest chance at winning a title maybe?)

About the Vinales to Yamaha move...
A lot of people are happy that Vinales has signed with Yamaha.
And a lot of people think that Yamaha signed him because they wanted a good #2 rider.

            No!

Here's the thing; sure, Vinales might do really well on the M1, and Vinales' performance might even be close to VR on the M1.
(Everyone's been saying that MV's riding style is close to VR)

So what do we think is going to happen with the team-mates once MV's performance starts beating VR?
it's not going to be all hunky-dory.

The 2016 championship looks set to be a three rider battle... and 2017 will be even more exciting.
It's great for MotoGP fans and great for the spectators.

Dani is an amazing racer. The Honda is a horrible bike right now.
Forget about Pedrosa winning a championship on the Repsol... Marquez is going to have tough time.

And yes, Dani won't ever win a MotoGP championship on a Repsol Honda.
Not because of his lack of talent, but simply a bunch of other riders have much better overall packages.
            Sad, but true.

I'm happy Iannone moved to Suzuki tho. Future champion. I prefer his odds on the Suzuki over Vinales on the Yamaha.

All of this... only time will tell.
