Business Times reports suggests that customers have complained over noisy engine and issues with the clutch. The company will carry out free replacement of the affected parts at authorized service centres. However it is not confirmed how many Himalayans will be affected by the recall.
Royal Enfield Himalayan was launched in Delhi at an on-road price of INR 1.73 lakh. The first purpose built motorcycle for adventure and touring is powered by an 411 cc oil-cooled single cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 24.5 bhp @ 6500 rpm and peak torque of 32 Nm @4000-4500 rpm.
Royal Enfield Himalayan is available in two signature colour options—Granite and Snow.
