power figures seem to be wrong ???

          this is funny :

" The amazement is due to the asking price -- The RC213V-S is going to be incredibly rare -- Honda is going to strictly limit production numbers -- but exclusivity alone isn't enough to justify the price. For such sums the bike will have to go like a rocket, too.
And this is where some have raised concern. The Grand Prix-winning bike develops over and above 235bhp from its 999cc V4 engine and that power plant is mated to Honda's phenomenal dual clutch transmission for lightning quick changes without easing off the throttle.
The road-going version has 157bhp and a traditional transmission. It's also 20kg heavier. However, that's because unlike road legal bikes, racers don't need headlamps, brake lights, indicators, instrumentation, exhaust mufflers, catalytic converters, a starter, ignition, a key, or a kickstand. All of which add weight.

So far, its vital statistics, other than its price tag are in line with a host of other incredibly potent racers already on the market, and at a fraction of the price.
However, Honda does have one more trick up its sleeve.
Fit the kit and the weight drops to 160kg, the power jumps to 212bhp, the engine will rev to 13000 rather than 11000rpm and the torque goes up to 118Nm "

taken from yahoo news.... it will be more of museum material rather than on road bike.. for fraction of price h2 will be smoking it anyday..

The pricing is absolutely nuts. Unless the buyer is from Saudi who owns an oil well and is die hard Honda fan, this just doesn't make any sense at all. As mentioned here Kawasaki H2 blows this out of water at a fraction of its cost. As H2 is force induced from factory, just a remap would take it to crazy horsepower levels which is impossible through NA way.

The power figures in the screenshot are the restricted figures for the bikes sold in France only!

a remapped pani 1299 , r1 , s1000rr or any 2015 superbike with a FFE will east it off any day...
even with the 215 kit the power it still will be slower. neither its as desirable as any italians..

for that price one could buy 2 Y2k... honda's gone mad..

Its ok they are making a limited number of bikes. The Jay Lenos of this world will certainly snap all of them up.

                              No Kidding.

The power figures are real, AFAIK the Europe version gets the 160HP and the US one has been tuned down to 100. The reason given is to meet noise and emission requirement in the US. Plus to rub in the salt, the race kit which actually bumps up the power to 215 is not going to be on sale in the US. $180K for a collection piece, that actually has the power figures of $8k 600cc Honda.

It seems Japan gets the lowest tuned version (70 HP).
