DSK Benelli India is organizing a celebratory ride in Bangalore on the 5th of July to celebrate the 100th delivery of their bikes.

DSK Benelli are planning the first ever ride of DSK Benelli in Bengaluru on 5th July 2015. This particular ride is special since they will be handing over the keys for the 100th delivery of DSK Benelli superbike in Bangalore, which is the fastest sale in Indian superbike industry till date!

    The details are as follows:

    City: Bengaluru
    Date: 5th July 2015
    Destination: Adigas, Kolar
    Theme: 100th Delivery celebration ride

The flag-off is at 6:30AM from the DSK Benelli showroom. The ride from the showroom to the venue will involve the Benelli owners only.

Other riders can even join the gang at the venue directly. There will also be a small function at the venue, which will consist of a brief on what DSK Group and Benelli is, followed by key handover to the 100th Customer and then its breakfast time. The function get over by 10am.

xBhp got a chance to catch up the Chairman of DSK Motowheels Shirish Kulkarni on the occasion of their 100th Bike delivery celebration ride. He tells us about the way forward for DSK Benelli.

xBhp: Congratulations on the 100th DSK Benelli delivery in Bangalore! How does it feel to have captivated the imagination of the Indian superbiker so soon?
Shirish Kulkarni: We are thrilled at the phenomenal response that we have received. We were certain that Benelli bikes would do well in India but the results have far surpassed all our expectations. All of us at DSK Benelli are glad that the brand has been so well accepted. The powerful blend of quality, performance and pricing is the key to this achievement. So far our main focus has been
on firmly fostering the Benelli brand identity in India, followed by exceptional after-sales support. We also have aggressive plans to offer these bikes to masses in a short time frame.

xBhp: What was the owner's response to the ride organised by the company?
Shirish Kulkarni: We had around 75 riders who participated in the event. The bike owners gave us some very positive feedback and testimonials which helped us understand that we are on the right track. In fact, most owners insisted that we should organise more such rides in the future. They were all quite excited about this milestone achievement and it was heartening to see them come to
celebrate this legendary moment. This was a demonstration of their loyalty to the DSK Benelli brand.

xBhp: Will there be more such activities for DSK Benelli owners in other cities in the country as well?
Shirish Kulkarni: Yes, we will certainly organize similar events across India. We also plan to form a club with exclusive benefits across various verticals for DSK Benelli superbike owners.

xBhp: At the time of the launch of the DSK Benelli bikes in India, had you expected such a phenomenal response?
Shirish Kulkarni: As mentioned above, a brand that combines powerful performance and Italian superbiking heritage was bound to do well in India. However, we must admit that the response has far exceeded our expectations. Our marketing strategy has played a vital role in generating the right kind of excitement around the bikes and in arousing the interest of superbike enthusiasts.

xBhp: What do you think is the single biggest selling point of DSK Benelli bikes?
Shirish Kulkarni: The most definitive USP of these bikes is their top-of-the-line quality and unbeatable performance at extremely competitive price points. All of this is backed by our superlative after-sales support. Therefore, customers see a lot of value in DSK Benelli Superbikes.

xBhp: After seeing this response, have you revised your targets that you had set at the time of the launch of the brand in India?
Shirish Kulkarni: Not at the moment. We are concentrating on ensuring that we service the bookings at the earliest and enhance brand awareness in the country.

xBhp: How many deliveries have been done nationwide till now and what are the numbers you are looking at going forward?
Shirish Kulkarni: We have delivered more than 400 bikes and have registered 700 bookings till date.

xBhp: What has been the biggest hurdle in front of DSK Benelli India so far?
Shirish Kulkarni:xBhp: Could you please share your plans for expansion of the DSK Benelli brand in India in terms of new products, localization, and number of showrooms across the country?
Shirish Kulkarni: We aim to establish 40 showrooms across India by 2017. A lot of exciting products are in the pipeline which shall be unveiled in due course.

xBhp: To conclude would you like to say something to the DSK Benelli owners in the country?
    Shirish Kulkarni:

And yes, the ride did happen today. There were about 50 bikes in total. We did a total of about 250kms ride round trip (for me). Here are a few pics from the ride.

Could be a temporary one before he gets his sliders. Better to have something rather than nothing.

Benelli has done well imo to get to the first century. Wishing them best of luck!

I guess he was indeed mentioning the GT Aravind. Since you were there for the event, do you know why, is that a temporary set-up ?

That is not a temporary setup. That is what you get from the company. I share the same opinion here, I don't think it enhances the looks.
