This is common trend followed by manufacturers.
If you remember then the KTM's were also launched with introductory prices and later on prices were raised by 15k - 20k.
So book yours now if you are on a tight budget.

    Cheers.

i read a report on net that said Japanese bikes were most reliable followed by American(harley, victory etc) and last were european bmw, triumph and all. it was statistical report with bmw having 40% failure rate in first 4 yrs. cant share it here cause my browser does not allow me to copy url.

that has me drop bmw gs and ktm duke390 from list. would love to have one of those 2 but since i do solo trips, dont want many breakdowns.

As far as my experience goes with bajaj products then they are reliable and vfm when taken good care (timely service). And i have seen ktm's crunching miles after miles with minor niggles (mostly earlier batches).
You will find many solo tourers with Bajaj/KTM bikes.

Got the dispatch message 2days back from bajaj. Went to the dealership today for additional info. Got to know mine will be the first one to be delivered from that dealership according to their booking list. On road price is 179860 in Kolkata for dual abs model. I was told bike should come within 7 to 10days based on their previous experience. Eagerly awaiting for the good news now. Besides, finally it's time to get all my riding gears before the bike comes home. Going though all those trillions of posts in riding gear thread now. 🙄

Initial batch issues are common among all manufacturers. Ideal time to buy a dominar, imo, would be a year from now. But, waiting is the hardest part of the buying process.

    Interesting🤔
Let's see what the initial batch customers will face issue of this kind.
