re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched at 1.36 Lakh with 35Ps and 35Nm!
Hello everyone. I have been a silent follower of xbhp for last couple of years n religiously follow all the threads of my dream bikes. Never had anything significant to contribute to this passionate biker community so never posted anything before today.
Booked it online today in Kolkata. Ex showroom price 1.57 lkh, 3 to 4k more than other places may be due to some strange pricing policy! Lets see when the delivery happens. I was waiting eagerly for something good for highway cruising like cbr 250/mojo/himalayan etc.Cancelled booking of Himalayan just 1wk back after reading so many complaints and reports of quality control issues among the first batch himalayan users. Don't know how will be the quality of first batch of Dominar either. Let's hope for the best. I'll keep posting my booking and other experiences with the dealership in near future in case it helps someone else.

We're here to help you. Keep us abreast on the booking to delivery process, this bike is the most awaited New Thread Starter in at least a year, not barring the Himalayan. As much as the Himalayan created the hype, hit or miss quality and too many recalls has significantly reduced the Himalayan's pulse rate. Now that, DOMINAR has increased the pulse rate to new highs, as a biker, the little guy inside me just can't wait to throw a leg over.Originally posted by DrBeatsB View PostHello everyone. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Classic 350 and TB 350 has a ground clearance of just 140mm which are used as tourers. It does fine in almost all the roads w.r.t the clearanceOriginally posted by dnewguy View Post[
Plus the lowered ground clearance than the Mojo and D390... ?!
How is it a good thing [/FONT]

So is it to accommodate short riders all over ?
Although i'm not very tall but prefer a high saddle position in order to have a better view of the traffic ahead.
P.S. The ABS on Dominar.... is it switchable ?Last edited by dnewguy; 12-16-2016, 02:09 PM.You Start Your Life with a Full Pot of Luck and an Empty Pot of Experience, the Object is to Fill the Pot of Experience Before you Empty the Pot of Luck.....!!

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched at 1.36 Lakh with 35Ps and 35Nm!
After all its Bajaj man..... far ahead of any other Indian brand
Machine looks amazing with affordable price range, the only off is 182KG weight rest looks awesome.
Don't have problem with tank if its giving 30kmpl means 13*30 = 390KM range not bad for tourer, easily manageable
but actual figure will come you will see in on road.
with so much weight how well it will perform on cornering that future will tell, personally i have doubt about it.
RE is completely different story, RE guys do not consider other than DUG DUG(no offense).
But yes at this price range it will give tough competition to DUKE,R15 as well as CBR.
Claim is 148kmph but i am sure it would touch 170 on road.
Eagerly waiting to TD it

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Launched at 1.36 Lakh with 35Ps and 35Nm!
Been following this thread & congrats to Bajaj for this bold move.
While I've not taken an offence & I don't intend to start a bike war, but I'd just like to point out that those who buy REs are maybe looking for that one particular thing which other bikes don't provide. eg. Some people like traditional bikes! or maybe its that particular sound! I find increasingly that there's a lot of judgement being passed around by the kind of bike/ brand of bike owned. Dont intend to steer the thread away but thought of mentioning this.Originally posted by Neerajvayu View Post

not so with the hardcore RE guys but yes many of them they simply love the sound.. However superior technology the competitor might give..but the RE guys will just say...ye jo sound hai ye woh de nahi pati....

It corners well given its weightOriginally posted by Neerajvayu View Post

At 800mm its not low but it has a feeling of low stance and accomodates tall riders easilyOriginally posted by dnewguy View PostSo is it to accommodate short riders all over ?
