Re: BS III vehicle sales banned by Supreme Court from 1st April
there are no issues in using the bs3 vehicles. this rule is only for the sale on new bs3 vehicles post march 31.Originally posted by vikas13 View PostWhat happens to these ppl who buy BSIII vehicles. How long can they use them? What about resell options?
you can use them at-least for as long as the registration is valid i.e. 15 yrs iirc.
Let's say a few months ago you were looking for a used vehicle.. did it ever occur to you to check what it's bs rating was? So relax.. shouldn't be a problem just because of bs3. Infact older bs2 vehicles might have more resale issues.
some dealer in pune i guessOriginally posted by vdarshan View PostWhich dealer is giving this offer? I asked in Ananda Honda for cbr 250 he said max he can give us ₹20k discount
It is not official by honda.. just some dealer.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostOfficially announced by Honda.
I'd say pick up a honda scoot, they are also offering good discounts.. see if you can pick up an aviator.Originally posted by Soundsgreat View PostWell Hero seems to be not far behind,I got the news that they are offering upto15K for all their existing BSIII stock. Read this if you haven't https://www.motorbeam.com/2017/03/bi...ffected-scoop/
Apparently some of the scoot's need some major repairs, somebody had even posted a pic of details of parts to be replaced from a svc.
I personally wouldn't yet trust these vehicles developed by hero.

Re: BS III vehicle sales banned by Supreme Court from 1st April
Hi,
Thanks for the reply buddy,As you already know I have a Aviator and Am very happy with the performance or such ! But there are issues with the mileage (as described in the other thread) and the attitude of the Honda ASC makes me cringe ! I need a min of 45+Kms mileage as otherwise I might as well buy a Bullet or some such thing if I only have to live with 35Kms mileage (off course there are other costs but just saying).I'd say pick up a honda scoot, they are also offering good discounts.. see if you can pick up an aviator.

You have read my post in the other thread with the issues of my Scoot, The difficulty I/Mechanic had in sourcing parts for my Scoot was not something I want to keep doing at regular intervals, forget such parts (Ignition coil, pickup coil etc) Am now having a shitty time in sourcing a god damn speedometer cable,The damn thing went bust two weeks ago (just after the scoot was taken from service after all the work done on it including mileage tuneup) and ever since that day running from one ASC to other to get hold of a Original cable set but apparently they only stock the new HET model (which is slightly longer and a wee bit different) and most of them suggest that I use the same as and say they don't stock the old parts anymore and even to get that new one it's no picnic ! So the attitude pisses me to the core to say the least.
Hero on the other hand seems little better,I can get hold of most of the original parts at most the automobile spare parts shop ! Don't even have to go to Hero ASC !
Also have read about the mileage,In most cases it was at 50 +/- so that and the above is what tempting me to go for it ! Also since I will buying a new one I guess the above mentioned issue by you might already be sorted out don't you think ?? or is it still not a good option ?
Sorry for the OT but I want to makeup my mind and go for it or leave as time is of the essence !
Regards.

Re: BS III vehicle sales banned by Supreme Court from 1st April
All deals are over now. No use crying over spilled milk. But what are we doing? We are beung cheated by auto companies/dealers into buying stuff that is going to pollute more. Its not like any one of us would just sell off the bike soon or would cover less mileage. I am waiting for any recycler of vehicle, which would help reduce these old vehicles off roads. We love our rides, very true, but we should also love our environment.

I did enquire about the ER6n and they informed me that all BSIII variants were sold out. The Anzen Kawasaki sold 40 units of all models in the month of march as per the conversation with the showroom guys.Originally posted by xplod566 View PostI also heard that the ER6N was being sold at a discounted price of 3 Lakhs. Is it true?Safety is priority not an option
