Re: Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin - Bookings Open in India!

all good on paper and stuff, but with honda's poor after sales support, this seems to be a high risk investment. plus the triumphs blow this machine out of the water, both in terms of on road performance, accessories and after sales. Honda did the usual too little too late. What a pathetic company it has turned out to be.

And I hope the extended warranty will take care of things incase if it fails!

Automatics are definitely gonna rule in coming days! I still wonder why BMW or Ducati or Kawasaki are still silent on this matter! Am sure they all are working hard to bring in automatics at the earliest. These are technologies we cannot chumma reject without a valid reason!

And I know "this" stuff little more close as I use a VW too! 7S DSG in my GTI is totally different when compared to the SAME gearbox(DQ200) that comes in GT TSi. Later's GB suffered a lot of issues in India. But the same stuff that is in my car, which came as CBU, hasn't thrown even a single niggle yet. My Car + GB is running on the most aggressive tune it can get now. GTI is an enthusiasts car. So have abused it to the core for the last 20k kms! So now I can vouch that its NOT the technology, its the built quality that throwing out troubles! DSG and DCT's are basically same technology known in two different names. DSG by germans, DCT by Japs and Ford!

So in this case, since the AT came in CKD form, built quality would be top notch too!
Could you please you please list some sources?
