Scooter looks excellent in images, pricing too.. Could see the TVS Racing stamped on the scooter, just like the Apache RR310s crank case..

If the scooter is good, could be next buzz for performance scooter..

But why only 3 Values & not 4 valves.. Any technical (or) cost limitation to exclude 4 Valves on an air cooled scooter?.. Also why aren't scooter equipped with Fuel Injection?.. Should be more beneficial in respect of fuel economy..

I think it's time to end the Activa mindset.

3 valve engine generates more torque. Not a cost cutting measure.
FI is expensive. You need fuel pumps, injectors and ECU. All are very expensive for 58k bike

Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125, Grazia being 2 valve setup generate around 10NM torque and around 8.5 Bhp..

TVS Ntorq 125 being 3 valved, also produces same 10 NM torque and slightly higher power of 9.5 Bhp..

Hope you meant 3 valve engine produces more power..

The difference between Gixxer SF & Gixxer SF FI isn't much..Agreed there will be a price increase, but it is not substantial that just by adding it, it becomes unaffordable..

Am just thinking by adding FI to scooter, it increases fuel efficiency..

            .
Torque is generated by piston movements. You can’t compare numbers like that. There are many factors going in. Bore stroke, crank weight and many other factors determine power.

When you refer torque, it doesn’t make sense. Torque curve should be compared.

Hi, Just took delivery today. and yes full-face helmet cant be stored. My Vega eclipse half face helmet hardly fits. Other than storage space I dont have any complaints. rides like charm and handling is really great.

To be frank, factors like, having longer stroke, has more impact on torque figures than valves. Yamaha's R15 and Honda's CBR 150 back to back, Yamaha too has 4 valves , but only SOHC setup, while CBR has DOHC and develops more power but less torque.

Stroke is just the movement. The size of the shaft comes into play when it comes to torque. The bigger the size, the more the torque it generates. The best example is
                    - Try to remove a car tire nut using a small spanner. Your hand pains like hell and you cant.
                    - Try removing the same with a bigger spanner. Its easy. You wont have any pain.
What changed? Same person and same hands. But what changed? The bigger the rod is, the efficient the torque gets applied onto nut and breaks easily. The same is the case in engine too. The only difference being the shaft is being rotated by the Piston movements.
