Got a call from a Suzuki showroom in Coimbatore since I had registered online four weeks back for the test Ride.

Even though I'm in Chennai and there is only one official dealer who retails Hayabusa here, Suzuki's official website never showed the Chennai dealer while registering for Test ride of GSX-S750. So I had to tick the only available Coimbatore showroom or my entry will not get registered. Which is really weird.

They said test ride vehicles have not yet arrived till now(omg!), but they already sold one S750 to a Chennai customer already. The rep said they might get a media ride vehicle from North India soon, so when that happens he will call me, so I can come from Chennai to test ride.

Damn.. If there is a test ride vehicle in Bangalore I might as well go there and clear my thoughts on this one now itself. My plans of getting S750 are becoming tiresome!

Arent you being a little too optimistic there? Burgman "Street"125 is an Access. Theres no Burgman 300, only 125, 200, 400 and 650.

200 and 400 are way out of India's league right now since SMPIL did not even bother to bring the Original 125 here. Street 125 barely qualifies as a Maxi scooter. Heck it barely qualifies as a Burgman.

I've always known only about the Burgman 650. During auto expo I came to know about the existence of lower Burgman models. What I came to mean from the post was different power iterations of the same.

Yes, Burgman Street 125 barely qualifies the moniker, but I feel they've tested waters safely with a good existing platform of Access 125. So if it sells nicely they should definitely bring higher power versions for Indian market and create a niche for themselves.

What makes me optimistic is the launch of Gsx-s750 and upcoming launch of V-Strom 650. Which means they're slowly trying to bring their international models.

Suzuki seems to be least interested in 250-650 segment. While Kawasaki n Yamaha have their Ninja 300 n R3 in market, Suzuki has just announced 250cc naked single cylin2bike. That even is to compete with FZ 250.

Yes mainly because the Inazuma failed miserably with its atrocious pricing. Though I reckon slowly their learning by bringing VFM products now.

Even the Gixxer 250 doesn't sound very exciting but just like the Gixxer 155 might carve a niche for itself.

Suzuki hasnt announced anything. Rumors of Gixxer 250 are based purely on leaked images of HJ300 design patent in China. We dont know if it will even get incorporated into SMC because Haojue filed the patent not Suzuki.

What is confirmed though are visual updates for GSX-150 and F. Overdrive made an article on this.

We have to keep in mind that Suzuki,Yamaha, Honda have invested in their own R&D centers in India.

We will get custom made models for India. Mostly caricature like bikes like Intruder and Burgman.

The probability of small capacity international bikes coming to India is very low.
