Just spoke with Sri Motors Yamaha Global Shop, Chennai. They say waiting period is 45 days. Bookings open. Full Price Breakdown Yamaha has not informed them yet, mostly by next week they'll receive it seems. New display vehicles will arrive shortly.

EDIT-2 A sales rep named Saravanan called from Sri Motors Katupakkam branch, Chennai. He told me the price is ₹3,88,700 on-road. Booking amount is ₹10,000. He also added to book quickly to avoid further queue delay.

Spoke with Another Showroom called Sun Motors in Chennai. They say ₹50,000 is booking amount. Bikes will most likely arrive by March end or April first week. They say the on-road price won't cross ₹3,95,00 in Chennai.

Since old BS3 stock fully sold and R3 was discontinued from mid 2017, no display or test ride available for now in showrooms it seems.

Hi, I guess from the few calls I made the first lot will be available by March 2nd week, mostly April 1st week it will reach showrooms throughout India.

Since this time there is ABS, I think many new buyers will come and demand will increase. If you're really interested the sales guy told to make booking so that you won't get annoyed with further delays.

At least this much I was able openly get info from two calls. But RR310 I went in December to see, still no test-rides or info on what's happening in Chennai.

The sales people are pathetic all over. I am also eager to see it in flesh, I mean metal before I finalize my own bike. I am not a big fan of fared bikes, but this one looks awesome in matte black.

Went to Ashok Yamaha at Ranigunj, Hyderabad, 50k booking amount, no on road price yet. But here’s the strange part, they say they won’t even get a display bike?! Forget test ride, you can’t even see the bike before booking it. Can anyone in Hyderabad let me know if there’s another dealer getting a test ride bike?

R3 outsold N300 , if you have connections then try getting a test ride from any previous owner . Test Bikes will not come so soon when it has such high demand in market. Many N300 owners too will move away and will flock R3 line . No N400 displayed at AutoExpo means R3 will be in demand for 4-6 months only then you will be able to get display and test bikes .

Called up Kawa Guy he again says he has no idea of N400 launch ,told him about my plans to go for R3 .

Spoke to 2 dealers here, none of them had any idea about R3 availability. They are not taking bookings. One guy there told me that they are busy preparing for R15 V3 launch and next 2-3 on months might would be dedicated to R15 V3 alone. His guess about R3 was around Diwali.

On Road Price in Hyderabad is 3.88 lakhs.
Got this price from Venkatesha Motors at Somajiguda.
No demo bike expected till a month or two, they were very vague about this.
