The all new range of CEAT tyres is developed at its research and development centre at Halol in Gujarat, and will be available as an after-market fitment for motorcycles.

The Puncture-safe tyres has a layer of gum like substance (gel) which acts as a sealant material in the tread area. This substance plays an important role in sealing the damaged area by to any sort of penetrating object that causes the puncture, in turn preventing air loss and avoiding the need for immediate repair.

Nitish Bajaj, Vice President, Marketing, CEAT stated, “OEMs are price sensitive and take time to decide on anything new”.
“As a leading tyre company supplying to various segments to be commercial vehicles, passenger cars or two-wheelers and other special segments, we continue to innovate. This tyre has a special gel. When a nail pierces the tyre, the gel protects the tyres. Later, when the nail is removed, the gel fills up the space created by the nail” He further added.

The company has manufacturing facilities at Bandhup, Nashik, Nagpur and Halol in India and other plants in Sri Lanka to provide for the local market. The plant in Nagpur set up last year has a potential to be ramped up to one million united per month.

The country’s tyre market is estimated at Rs.60,000 crore and is growing at about 6-7%. CEAT closed last year's sale at Rs. 6,500 crore.

It definitely does, the honda tuff up tubes saved me a couple of times.
These are just an extra layer of protection, and not 'puncture proof'.
You have to keep an eye on the tires (tubeless and the tuff up kind) for any embedded objects and get it fixed as quickly as possible if you notice a foreign object embedded in the tire.
