    X-Blade is cheaper than Hornet

The more I think about it the more I feel that X-Blade is supposed to be a general commuter class bike and not a Naked class bike. Is this bike supposed to replace Unicorn 160?

The Hornet ain't bad looking but this looks better than the pricier Hornet.
Sorry OT can't resist :: Someone asks " What do you ride"?- Say " I ride the Blade - So are you the Bladerunner???
      All the best BladeX .

Hmm that is really strange, as far I can tell the govt plans to make abs/cbs mandatory for all bikes above 125 cc, wonder why they did not include a disc at the rear, perhaps the second or third batch would have them.

That rule is a bit sketchy in the sense there isnt clear details about it.

We dont know whether it means, bikes manufactured after April should have ABS/CBS or New models launching after April should have ABS/CBS

If its the latter then well, you know what that means.

April 2018 onwards no new motorcycle/scooter above 150cc can be launched/registered without ABS.

April 2019 onwards all existing motorcycle/scooters above 150cc have compulsory ABS. All new vehicles sold have to be equipped with ABS. Motorcycles like the FZ 25 for example will come with ABS.

              Hope this helps.

              Cheers

                125cc not 150

FZ25 is an existing model. It might not get ABS until April 2019

Oh, ok - I thought it was 150cc.

I meant FZ25 bought new/registered after April 2019 will have to have ABS.

Today I had the exact same feeling when I booked X-Blade. I was originally looking towards Unicorn 150/160 but they only had one 160 vehicle for display and sale whereas, they were keeping quite a few X-Blade. Not sure if the Unicorn is sort of getting phased out slowly.

Yes Honda should discontinue Uni160 because its not a successful product & Xblade is overall miles ahead to it in every department, at the same time people still go for old Uni150 because its extremely comfortable & gives great mileage

Would recommend you to ride the Xtreme 200R and the RTR 160 4V.Both of them are better than the XBlade.

Unicorn not a successful product? Whoa. The Unicorn sold like crazy for Honda.Much more than the XBlade. The sales for the latter is slow, whereas for the former, was huge.Hornet also still sells more than the XBlade. The Unicorn is being phased out because it has become old now.

I took a test ride of the x-blade. It has got everything it needs except ABS. otherwise it woukd have been a killer deal. The seats are wide comfortable the headlight looks way better than hornet, it even has a gear position indicator which the hornet misses out on. It feels a little bit small compared to the big tank of hornet but is well carved out. And the color options are very good.. somewhat standing out than the rest of the bike in this segment. If honda gives ABS I'll buy this bike without a second thought.
