Yamaha Motor India has introduced new colors for their scooter Cygnus Ray ZR. Yamaha first introduced the Cygnus ray ZR in 2016. Mechanically the scooter remains the same, but the new color options give it an updated and modern look. The price of the new Cygnus Ray ZR range starts at Rs. 53,451 /-.
About the Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR
The Cygnus Ray-ZR is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, 113 cc, “BLUE CORE” engine. The engine produces 7.2 Ps of power at 7500 rpm and 8.1 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. It tips the scale at a modest 103 kg. The scooter offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 66 kmpl (under standard test conditions). It also offers a storage space of 21 litres and tubeless tyres.
The New colors
The model is now available in five colors - Armada Blue (Disc), Matt Green (Disc/Drum), Maverick Blue (Disc/Drum), Rooster Red (Disc) along with the existing Darknight Edition (Disc).
The prices of the two variants are as follows:
Drum brake Variant : Rs. 53,451 /-
Disc brake variant : Rs. 55,898 /-

Ltd. added, “As the two-wheeler industry recorded a growth of almost 8% in the year 2017, the scooters segment maintained its growth momentum at 12%. The brand has been able to make steady inroads and will rev hearts with many more exciting products, particularly targeted at trend conscious young customers. By introducing new colors in Cygnus Ray ZR, the company will look forward to reinstate fresh excitement in this segment.”

The Blue Core technology from Yamaha is present on various existing models offered by the company. It is focused on making their engines more fuel efficient and eco-friendly. This technology focuses on 3 points:
-Increasing combustion efficiency (combustion control).
-Increasing cooling efficiency.
-Reducing power loss.
