The new Multistrada 1260
This ADV comes loaded with tech up to the brim. The new Multistrada now displaces 1262 cc, a little more than the variant it replaces. The power figures are impressive as well. The new mill now churns out 158 hp at 9,750 rpm and maximum torque of 13.2 kgm at 7,500 rpm. The Testastretta DVT 1262 cc engine is Euro 4 compliant and Ducati claims that it offers better rideability than the previous iteration. Talking about the numbers, Ducati says the engine offers the highest torque output in its class at 4000 rpm, where the riders find themselves most often.
It packs some serious firepower when it comes to the tech front. It comes with a new ride by wire system which results in smoother power delivery. For the people who want an adrenaline filled ride, Ducati has thrown in DQS (Ducati Quick Shift --Up & Down). Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), Bosch Cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Cruise Control, Backlit handlebar switches, Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) are some more features which make the Multistrada a true pioneer of the future. Other major changes include updated chassis, with a longer swing arm and wheelbase and revised geometry up front, which assists in sharper handling in corners without compromising with stability even when riding with a pillion. Or if the motorcycle is all loaded up with panniers.
