On a serious note this pricing was expected. Not because they feel they will sell shi loads for whatever price, but because they dont have the infra to support the shitloads they sell, so they dont want to sell shitloads.

How many dealers do they have all over the country, how many SVCs? less than 20 I believe. How will they support if they manage to sell around 2000 units a year at lesser price? Already these <20 SVCs have to take care of their big bikes, so can they handle the bigger volume?

The only way out for BMW would have been to use TVS for ASS also, but it would have been a PR disaster for them and would turn off many prospective customers who are looking for a "premium" experience.

So you charge more, sell less, and keep the small number of customers happy (as much as they can).
Totally flawed logic, same engine available for 2.2L with fairing. don't compare BMW cars logic here.
when a premium brand like iphone charges more then they are innovating new things and always first to market. here not only specs are below competition but same tech is used with tvs logo in similar bike.

i agree with others , BMW showed how to shoot there own foot, with this kind of pricing.

But the GS looks good. The red G310R too. They definitely will be invited to the super Exclusive BMW rides or whatever they are.

Not at all, they are no fools, do you think they wouldn't have though what we are thinking?

This is made for the whole of asian market and and they are not looking at India other than manufacturing and a few sales to keep the interest going. They don't need any sales from here to justify their pricing/release.

What do you care where it is made as long as the parent company decides the specs, heck most of what we buy is built at only a few select places for companies all over the world, so do we stop buying them.

We should be glad they chose to make in India, else we would just be reading about them in some magazines.

I had the chance to check out complete BMW range in the flesh at Cyber Hub, Gurgaon. Though they were not offering a test drive at the moment but I had the chance to feel the bike. Fit and finish is indeed top notch. 310R felt dull and bland but GS has a wow factor and it was parked next to big GS and dare I say that it can give big daddy GS run for its money. The suspension was soft and plushy. Those seats were so darn comfy, Bullet comfy [emoji4]

I think GS is going to see a lot many takers even though itโ€™s priced on the higher side.
