No dates , no confirmation of even the 250r , says other bikes being considered are er6n and zx6r which do not qualify with 800cc+ rule , don't you think news like these have enough mirch masala in them and no actual content..
A month back i happen to check wit one of a bajaj employee who had quit it. the surprising news was, there are some ninja units ready in the factory, but they are still under testing by bajaj. Not sure what bajaj is trying to test a product which is a sucess world wide. Also the price would be way above 2 lak mark..

if er6n and zx6r or what ever you say doesnt qualify with the sub 800cc import rules, how would the ninja alone be exempted ?

Now talking regarding CKD, the same policy was followed for SBKs to reduce the TAX attraction by some fradulent dealers, but then, they were considered as illegal, if so, how come its ok when being done by big companies alone ? is it cos of the homologation ?

awwwnnnn... am too confused..some one clarify ASAP

i guess bajaj is looking to service the 250 ninja at its probiking showroom so they are burning the rubber
checking if the rubber is appt for indian roads/ temps and heat
and to see if the bikes would manage in basic service routine of kwacker or some small trickering req to be done

^^^ what's there to discuss so much about in those photographs. They look like a Ram Koti mod job. The Rock 100 or many other cheap Chinese bikes have better finishing when they come from the factory.

All that can be done in less than a week! Here they have showcased the Ninja since Jan2008. Been 16 months since!
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Fazer is the terminology Yamaha use for all naked's derived from their fully faired fire-breathing siblings. Hence the name Fazer 600 and 1000. In our case had they come out with a naked version of the R15 - it would have been called the Fazer 150. But they broke the norm with the vastly different FZ-16 and god bless them for it.
