  • Kawasaki India launches new Z's for 2017

    Kawasaki India has launched the 2017 models Z250, Z1000 and Z1000R. With this new add up to its Z's portfolio, Kawasaki got in total 6 models under Z are Z250, Z650, Z800, Z900, Z1000 and Z1000R.




    2017 Z250 -The entry level of the Z's powered by 249cc 4-stroke parallel twin liquid-cooled engine which produces 32 PS @ 11,000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque @ 10,000 rpm. No major updates in terms of power & performance but upgraded to meet the BSIV compliant.



    2017 Z1000 - The first 1000cc of the Z's powered by 1043cc 4 stroke In-line-4 liquid-cooled engine which produces 142 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm torque @ 7,300 rpm. The new 2017 carries the same power output but minor changes to the front suspension setup, rear linkage travel have been increased to 13 mm more and upgraded to meet the BSIV compliant.



    Z1000R - The latest addition to the Z's powered by 1043 cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which produces 142 PS @ 10,000 rpm and 111 Nm torque @ 7,300 rpm. New body graphics, BSIV compliant, fully-adjustable shock absorbers with remote preload adjuster by Ohlins, Brembo M50 Monoblock calipers are the added features of Z1000R. Z1000R also equipped with same high specification brake components of the Ninja H2R.Kawasaki has priced the Z250 at 3.09 lakh, Z1000 at 14.4 lakh and Z1000R at 15.49 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).

    Coming years will be great for kawasaki as they have improved almost all bikes (introduced zx10rr,z650,z900) now z1000r and good thing is that all the cycles are affordable and best in their segment .value for money proportion is there plus reliability is top notch.

                I have seen the Z650 up close. It's so much more better looking than the old naked 650 which frankly appeared as a botched faired to naked conversion job!
