There are quite a few changes in this iteration of the 150cc sporty offering from Honda. Visually, the bike now looks sharper, gets LED headlamps, LED turn signals and a few new colors. The most exciting color scheme of the 2019 Honda CBR150R is the HRC Repsol racing livery. Apart from that the bike now has ABS and a sticker on the fender as a testimony to that. Another change in the braking department is the addition of petal discs. The suspension on both the front end and the rear has been tweaked. Another value addition is the Honda Emergency Stop Signal which makes the rear brake light blink under hard braking.
The instrument console is also new and now comes with a colored backlight. Engine wise, the motorcycle remains the same. It is powered by a 149cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine. The engine is good for around 16.8 Bhp at 9000 rpm and 14.4 nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox. The new Honda CBR150R ABS will come in four colour options - Matte Black, Victory Black Red, MotoGP Edition and Honda Racing Red.
No concrete information of the launch of 2019 Honda CBR150R is available at the moment. But we do expect this bike to come to India next year which is good because ABS will be a mandatory requirement for all motorcycles above 125cc and the 2019 Honda CBR150R has already got it. This motorcycle if launched in India, will go head to head with Yamaha R15 V3. We also expect this motorcycle to be priced competitively considering localization in India.
