There’s no visual difference between the FI and the Carb variant. That isn’t the same with the power figures though. A 279.5cc, single-cylinder does duty in both the Renegade Commando and the Sport S. The torque output of both the Carb and the FI variant is the same and stands at 23 Nm. When it comes to power figures, the FI variant churns out 25.15 Ps, while the Carb variant puts down 23.7 Ps, being underpowered by 1.5 PS.
Both the motorcycles share the same chasis and suspension setup. The front suspension department is taken care of by telescopic forks while twin shock absorber setup does the duty at the rear. Brakes on both the bikes are same as well. The front has a 280mm disc brake while the rear has a drum unit.
Now that they are being offered in the carb variant as well, the price of both the motorcycle has come down. The UM Renegade Commando is priced at Rs 1.85 lakh while the Sport S is priced at Rs 1.79 lakh, both the prices are ex-showroom, Pune.
