  • Honda CBR650R India launch in 2019?

"It seems that Honda is done with the mild mannered motorcycles which have F in the suffix and has toned up the aggression.

The*CBR650F*has made way for the new CBR650R which is sharp enough to be hailed as the baby Fireblade. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R sure has a new contender to worry about." - RushLane

All new Honda CBR650R has made its global debut at the EICMA show. It comes with updated higher revving engine that delivers 95 PS.

So given that the CBR650F is available in India and will soon be replaced by the CBR600R, I like to image that there is a chance we get to this in our roads.

    Thread approved.
    Here you go: https://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/41...650r-more.html

Firstly, there's no word on the India launch yet. Secondly, they have introduced two motorcycles for their 'sporty' middleweight line-up, the CBR650R and CBR500R.

The most important point is that none of these bikes is meant to be a 'Supersport' motorcycle which, the ZX-6R is. Bikes in that segment are the R6, Daytona 675 (discontinued) and likes. Honda has (soon to be had) the CBR600RR, the proper supersport model. We believe that the CBR650R and CBR500R, though a bit more aggressive now, are meant to be more in line with a sports-touring character and not all out middleweight sportbikes i.e. supersports.

There is no news about a new CBR 600RR. Perhaps this is the end of the road for the 600 supersports Honda!

Just saw that I made a typing error.
It was supposed to say CBR650R and not CBR600R

There seem to be some kind of talks of getting this to India in 2019 to replace the 650F, it's expected to be assembled locally so pricing should be only be a bit more than the model it's replacing. It's still will be expensive than the Ninja 650 but then again the Honda will be a 4 cylinder machine with way more power than the Kawasaki.
