"These are exciting times and to begin with, we will be launching Renegade Vegas, Renegade Duty S & an exciting adventure bike in India over the next couple of months."
UM is all set to bring in a new adventure motorcycle, besides the mostly anticipated cruisers, Renegade Vegas and Renegade Duty S.

Renegade Vegas

Renegade Duty S
UM has showcased DSR Adventure TT at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, Italy. It is powered by a 125cc liquid-cooled engine churning out 14.9PS and 10.9Nm. However we hope UM plonks in 230cc air-cooled engine with oil cooling which produces 17PS and 17Nm which is in the Duty S.

There is a good chance that UM might surprise us with the 279.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine currently equipped in Renegade range. This engine delivers 25.15PS and 23Nm.
The Adventure TT being an adventure motorcycle is equipped with long travel telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking department is is handled by discs front and back and at least single-channel ABS is expected to comply with the latest safety norms.
The motorcycle wears a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres measuring 90/90-R21 and 130/80-R17. Motorcycle is well equipped with the signature UM features such as analogue-digital instrument cluster, halogen headlamp and a USB charging port.
The bike sits at a height of 850mm which is comparable to the BMW R 1200 GS’ and might not be easily accessible for shorter riders.
We expect UM to sensibly price this at around Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). At if this is price right and Um plonks in the 230cc version, it would compete with the upcoming Hero XPulse 200. If UM opts for the liquid-cooled 279.5cc single, the DSR Adventure TT would rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
