  • Ducati Approved: Ducati enters pre-owned business in India

Ducati has entered the pre-owned motorcycle business in India. The Ducati Approved program offers pre-owned motorycles. Ducati Approved is a certified global program that offers pre-owned Ducati motorcycles.

The motorcycles go through quality and performance checks done by qualified Ducati Service Technicians. They select and inspect every bike and certify the history of the bikes as well. Only the bikes less than 5 years old and a certified lower than 50,000 km mileage. Only the motorcycles that pass the 35 rigorous technical checks established by Ducati get the Ducati approved tag.

Speaking about entering the pre-owned motorcycle business, Sergi Canovas, Managing Director, Ducati India said, “Our entry in the pre-owned segment in India will make Ducati more accessible to passionate bikers who aspire for the luxurious & premium experience offered by Ducati motorcycles. I believe that Ducati Approved program will help bike enthusiasts in upgrading themselves to their dream machine in a cost efficient and assured manner. With this program, our aim is to sell bikes with the same level of sophistication and authenticity as offered with a new Ducati.”

The program also includes specialized assistance by the official Ducati network in India. This is inclusive of Roadside Assistance. The program extends 12-month warranty coverage with the possibility of warranty transfer to the new owner in case of sale.

The official website - https://preowned.ducati.com/models/in/en/home - currently has 3 motorcycles listed. Two units of Ducati Diavel Carbon and one SuperSport S. We expect this portfolio to expand pretty soon and with the comprehensive checks, one can expect the Ducati reliability too.

5.88 lakhs for a 2015 Diavel Carbon ! Isn't it too good to be true ? Any hidden costs or catch I'm missing out on ?

These 2 entries were probably test entries by their IT/ staff.
They were removed by them 2 days later itself, and Ducati Gurugram (their name was listed) had no idea about it...

The Supersport S seems to be a genuine entry. Click on the link in the first post to see the currently available bikes.

Would love to see some similar steps from some Japanese manufacturers. Ducati is too premium to own even as a second hand IMO, if something goes wrong with these bikes there are high chances that one ends up paying a big amount to repair the same.

It would be awesome if they provide good after sales service.
