  • ZX-10R Recall - DON'T RIDE

MCN has reported a recall from Kawasaki for the front wheels of the ZX-10R, advising owners not to ride until they have been replaced (free of charge by the dealer). I believe this is a global recall.

sounds like a serious flaw from Kawasaki. I wonder what the problem was since the site only says the tyre was "defective".

Well, this is what companies do world over. Like HOnda & Ford, they recall all their cars for free replacement of whatever parts they find defective. Wish this could be true of Indian companies too...anyway, the zx10r engine seems to have no flaws till now & the whole bike is a rocker anyway..cant take that away from it!

why displace the products in the first place,
                    then they recall
recently there was a topic that FORD(not sure) recalled a lot of their cars.

woah now that is news, now if that happens with global companies like kawisaki then i would not be baffeled if indian manufactureres would recall their products

See folks this is pretty usual these days. Last year BMW recalled around 164,000 SUVs (X5)worldwide to correct a problem with the brake hose and was done free of charge.

Well , i would like to call this responsibility & care for quality. Not everything can be known till riders start riding the machines & when problems crop up, one should always take up responsibility to fix it.
                          Way to go Kawasaki.

Yup... read about the 10R recall in quite a few bike magazines too... has there ever been an instance in India where a manufacturer has issued a recall notice?

Yamaha had sent letters to all the RXG owners to get their magneto or something( dont know the exact term) & also the silencer( not sure abt this) & it was said that it was to be compliant with the new norms.. dont know whether we cud call ita recall
