Re: 2019 Bajaj Dominar brochure leaks
In my opinion, this change is welcome and for the better, only if the low end torque is not reduced. Its original donor bike, the KTM Duke 390 is dismayal in this matter but the previous Dominar is great!
Apart from that, it could really use an upgrade in terms of looks. Make it more classy. The classic styling could help it sway customers from its nearest competitor (you know who).
If 'these' customers needed flashy looks and outright power, they would've left this camp long ago, isn't it?
Dominar can choose to provide it, otherwise, these guys will just upgrade to the RE twins or Street 750 or maybe Harleys, depending on their budget. Some will sway this way, because Dominar is unique in some ways, but that's it..---

Re: 2019 Bajaj Dominar brochure leaks
I guess you can call me a hardcore bajaj fan.. My first bike was the Pulsar 220fi.. My second was Pulsar 220dtsi.. My third was Pulsar RS200... I was thinking of going for the Ninja 300 by May-June.. But the new Dominar has put me in an irritating dilemma.. Dominar 39.9PS vs Ninja 39PS.. I have ridden Pulsar 180 and am not impressed with nakeds as I am into sport touring mainly on highways.. Very less city rides... Also my current motorcycle RS200 has a high revving motor and I have become quite used to it.. Dominar is apparently a power cruiser(low revving)... RR310 seems underpowerd now compared to Dominar 2019.. R3 makes sense, but I was never impressed with Yamaha India.. And I have heard Ninja 300 will be discontinued post 2020 due to emission norms.. Will it cause me any spare issues?... Anybody have any info on SS/RS400? It seems Bajaj is not interested in SS400 or RS400 anymore.. I would glady buy SS/RS400 if it comes out now or in the near future.. God, I am confused.. Can anybody suggest Ninja 300 or Dominar 2019 or Apache RR310 or Yamaha R3... I need a Highway Sport Tourer...

Dominar is VFM. Price is the only factor is favor of it.
Ninja 300/R3 are twin cyliner motorcycles that cost a bit more but also offer some extra performance and wind protection.
Apache RR310 offers good performance and quality components at a justifyable price.

The Apache RR310 has high qualtiy components and has performance comparable to the twin cylinder Ninja 300 and R3 at a significantly lower price. Being a faired motorcycle, it will offer better wind protection than the Dominar. The new Dominar, even with increased performance will have tough time in matching the performance of the other bikes mentioned here, mainly due to the weight factor.

Re: 2019 Bajaj Dominar brochure leaks
I think I will take Test Rides of all the mentioned motorcycles and then decide.. Anybody know Bike Rentals like Wicked Rides where I can get Ninja 300, R3 and RR310 on rent here in Bangalore? I think i can get the Dominar 2019 for a long test ride as I have rapport with a few Bajaj showroms..
I think I want to ride each of these motorcycles for a whole day before making a decison... And anybody have any info about the Ninja 300 being discontinued in 2020? If it does discontinue, I guess spares will be a problem... Inclined towards the Ninja 300 because owning a Ninja was a childhood dream.. Anyway, thank you everyone for your valuable inputs..
