Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF launched
Gixxer 250 is the next lateral upgrade with smoother gearbox, shinier headlight and the best part of dual channel ABS.Originally posted by #bpk View PostYeah, but imo, pulsar 220 makes more sense than gixxer 150 , if mileage is not considered. Pulsar 220 is a non complicated sports tourer [emoji4]
And I am 100% sure Suzuki quality would be a couple levels up than Bajaj.

Its already BS6 compliant but its being registered as BS4 for this year and then next year when BS6 becomes mandatory, the bike will be registered as BS6.Originally posted by mrnoemail View Postany idea is it BS6 or BS4. I been to the show room they said its a BS6 engine but considering as BS4
Its a nice little scam that Suzuki is running and no one at the Launch Event bothered to ask about this. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

One journalist asked about the emissions norms to one of the Japanese guy present on the stage and he told that it's Bs4 currently and will be updated to BS 6 when needed!Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostIts already BS6 compliant but its being registered as BS4 for this year and then next year when BS6 becomes mandatory, the bike will be registered as BS6.

Yeah. I've heard that BS6 will further reduce the bhp of vehicles to meet emission norms.Originally posted by mrnoemail View PostHey bro, even i seen the journalist ask the question, the Japanese guys i said its BS4. But the showrooms has a different story

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF launched
You dint get the point. The engine is ALREADY BS6 compliant thats why the power got reduced from 14.8ps to 14.1ps, in which case why is it still being registered as BS4?Originally posted by #bpk View PostOne journalist asked about the emissions norms to one of the Japanese guy present on the stage and he told that it's Bs4 currently and will be updated to BS 6 when needed! For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

That would be to avail additional tax benefits and avoid expenditure to show that it is BS6.Originally posted by MotoBlizzard View PostYou dint get the point. Plus when they will introduce it as BS6, they can ask customers to pay more.Regards,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF launched
I was looking forward to the launch and test ride reviews of SF 250. I have been riding r15 v2 for close to 7 years and always felt the bike deserves a more powerful engine. Suzuki have played safe by positioning the 250 between the the r15 v3 and Duke 250. The engine too is impressive and will be reliable as it's a suzuki. But I am not convinced with the looks of the sf250, the r15 looks more menacing and Duke 250 too without doubt is the best looking naked bike on sale in India. I will wait for naked version now as looks have always been a deciding factor for me.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF launched
SF250 feels like the worthy upgrade to previous Gixxer owners.
I had a 2017 Gixxer SP for 19,000kms upto March this year. It was such a no nonsense motorcycle easy to maintain machine. The daily commute felt thrilling with that razor sharp handling and sweet torque delivery at the right rpms. Suzuki parts were cheap too. I always felt the chassis could easily take more power.
It seems like Suzuki has taken this fantastic formula to the 250 class. 27 horses will easily keep you thrilled for daily commuting as well as weekend blasts on Indian roads. Since CBR 250 is almost a decade old and FZ250 is a mediocre effort from Yamaha, this will satisfy the rider who needs Japanese reliability just like CBR did a long time ago.
If you don't want to take the Bajaj Dominar path this is the motorcycle to buy now below the ₹2lakh segment. Eagerly waiting for a test ride and looking forward to the upcoming naked version of SF250.
Cheers!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF launched
As a result of which, Hornet once again became the most powerful Japanese naked in 150cc air cooled segment. [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji38]Originally posted by siva23Yes you’re are right bro, Suzuki had already exported gixxer to Japan with updated emission norms with only 14 PS of power, so I believe they were BS VI ready long back!!!
Snippet of Suzuki Japan website, Gixxer Spec :
This would be the very last lot of older gixxer with carb and 14.8 ps ,reliable old-school mechanic bike to get....else it would be with newer electronic sensor bike with unkown surprises , So I am still bet on the older gixxer than the new stiffed 2019 version !56.0 mm x 62.9 mm / 9.8 10 kW <14 PS> / 8,000 rpm 14 N ・ m <1.4 kgf ・ m> / 6,000 rpm
So my theory goes like this : most releiable versions of bike from Manufactures :
Always the First Yamaha - RX100 ......and in 4 stroke --- FZ ( Initial Lot)
Honda : 2005 Unicorn (gem of an engine)
Suzuki --- Shogun (1994) .....Fiero (2000) still bread winner for TVS ( coz all the rtr's built on this great base engine) ----the GREAT GIXXER (2015)
so the 2014-2018 lot of gixxer will be ever remembered for all the suzuki Enthusiast , as this was the king of segment agaisnt all the 150-160cc of 2,3,4 valves & 2,3 row oil cooler and fancy raw ripped stealth, real throttle racing fancies & 2,3 spark plug whatever ......still the simplistic gixxey is beautiful piece of engine around.
