KTM 390 Adventure borrows design inspiration from the 790 Adventure. It was seen testing with alloy wheels measuring 19” front and 17” rear. The initial bikes will be offered exclusively with alloys. Bikes with spoke wheels will be launched at a later date.

Though it is based on the Duke 390, it will get a different frame and suspension setup. This will help deliver a true off-road biking experience. In addition to being an off-roader, the 390 Adventure will also be a sports tourer. Special attention has been paid to give rider the utmost comfort, which will make it easier to munch more kms without breaks.
Engine specifications are also expected to be the same as that seen on the 390 Duke. This 373cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder motor offers 44 hp power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm on the 390 Duke. But it will be tweaked to offer different performance on board the 390 ADV. It will also get altered gearing and sprockets for better lower end grunt.
Apart from launching the off-road bike, KTM will also launched a full range of touring accessories – from panniers to riding gear. Following its global unveiling later this year at the 2019 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the KTM 390 Adventure will be launched in India.
Here, it will compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan, Kawasaki Versys-X 300 and BMW G310GS. It could be priced at around Rs.30,000-40,000 over the 390 Duke which could put it in the Rs.2.80-3.0 lakh segment.
