  • fuel injection bike by yamaha : NDTV

hi guys, i was watching the car & bike show on NDTV on sunday 15th aug, where they were answering a sms question by some viewer. the host said yamaha has promised a fuel injected bike early next year. others r launching big bikes but yamaha will b the first.
this seconds the news i've heard at bajaj that they have a ready 250 but r waiting for yam 2 make the 1st move.
ne ways experience tells me there is no early next year in the calender of these bike companies, so we wait & wait & wait.....

I hope yamaha is on track now but im not optimistic coz its been 15-20 years that yamaha has been in india and they haven't moved up from 100-135cc bikes except the legendry RD 350. Is Yamaha india the same Yamaha that manufactures R1! Bring em' on..... YAMAHA r u listening! Atleast as an import! Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
      Lets go vrooooooooooommm....

I think the 2005 pollution norms are compelling these companies(hh, bajaj & yamaha)to go for fuel injection systems.. just a wild guess..

This happens only in India the reason for launching single cylinders is that it keeps the cost of the bikes low..

Hope someone manages to meet the pollution norms without having to use fuel injection - coz, that would not only be cheaper, but also very fuel efficient. Like the 180 Dtsi.

Does the Dtsi have CAT in their silencers?

No the DTSi does not have any Cat Con in its silencer
