Default Honda 'Shine's again – Single day retails grow over 80% on Akshay Tritiya

Honda 2Wheelers India's dream run in sales continues as Honda’s single day retail grows by over 80%. They achieved this feat on Akshay Tritiya, the first major festival of 2018. They also created a record in sales after they closed FY’2017-18 crossing 6 million units mark.

Honda states that the motorcycle industry has returned to double digit growth for the first time in 6 years. As a result of which the festive buying sentiment was strong across segments. Within the regions, Western region once again led the festive buying followed by South and Central regions.

When it comes specifically to models, Activa led the sales strongly. Activa is already one of the highest selling two-wheeler in India and the same was reflected on its festive sales. In motorcycles, the most popular choice from Honda’s stable was CB Shine. CB Shine is also the only 125cc motorcycle that has a place in the top 3 motorcycles from a sales point of view.

Sharing how India is now celebrating festivals with Honda and the significance of Akshay Tritiya retails, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., “Akshay Tritiya being the first major festival of the year, is a barometer of the mood of economy and buying sentiments. What is most encouraging is that retails surpassed our expectations and grew by over 80%. 2018 has firmly started on a positive note for us. This is why, we at Honda are delighted that ever highest number of customers purchased a Honda two-wheeler in the single day of Akshay Tritiya.”

    World Record by Honda

Honda 2Wheelers India’s total sales grew at 22% from 5,008,230 units in FY’2016-17 to 6,123,886 units in FY’2017-18. Honda’s domestic sales crossed 4,725,067 units in FY’2016-17 to ever highest of 5,775,243 units in FY’2017-18. Exports also crossed the 3 lakh threshold for the first time and increased 23% in FY’2017-18. (As per SIAM data and HMSI internal study).

The first line should have ‘in’ instead of ‘is’. Moreover, there are many punctuation mistakes in your write-up. When you claim xbhp as the number one biking community in India, I believe the writing should be top-notch too for it is accessed and read by not just a few but masses.

Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D
