As expected, 390 Adventure will draw inspiration from the big daddy 1290 Super Adventure. It would be interesting to see how much has dripped down to the mini adventure. KTM has been a force to reckon with in the Dakar rally so the off road prowess of the Adventure line-up is justified.
Once launched, motorcyclists of our country who want a motorcycle for long hauls and to take on any roads will have one more option in the name of 390 Adventure.
Commenting on the upcoming launch Amit Nandi, President, Probiking Bajaj Auto Ltd. said "KTM is a niche brand for a select few. With the 390 Adventure, we would be making our long-awaited entry into the niche premium dual-sport segment which is a very apt segment for Indian roads."
The new entrant from KTM’s stable isn’t going to face an easy competition. In the past few years we have seen other manufacturers come up with motorcycles in the same category. The latest entrant being BMW G 310 GS, pre bookings of which have already begun. Then there is the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Kawasaki Versys 300 who are already present in the market.
It’s going to be fun seeing the new KTM 390 Adventure take on the competition. Both on the road and off the road because they are supposed to conquer the tough terrains too!
