Ducati recently unveiled their trio of updated Scrambler models for 2019 at INTERMOT 2018. And now, according to the social media channels of Ducati, another new motorcycle is coming. In the post which shows the Ducati logo (on the motorcycle) splashed with muddy water, they have written “Stay Tuned. 12th October. A new bike is coming”. And because of the muddy nature of the post, we firmly believe that it might be the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro.

Ducati updated the Multistrada 1200 last year and we got the Multistrada 1260 as a result of that. It featured an updated Testastretta DVT 1262 engine which was good for 158 Bhp. But the Multistrada Enduro is still being offered with the engine from Multistrada 1200 so one can say that this update was long time coming.

Ducati updated the Multistrada 1200 with the larger engine to make it more tractable and torque-y all over the rev-range and especially down in the lower rev-range. The new engine along with the variable-valve tech was able to do just that and Ducati stated that the Ducati Multistrada 1260 makes 85% of its torque below 3,500 rpm. Now if the Enduro was to be updated with the same engine, it would make the formidable Ducati Multistrada Enduro an even more established ADV-tourer.

Coming back to Ducati’s post, this can be a completely different model as well but we think that’s highly unlikely. We’ll know for sure on this Friday. The motorcycle will be officially revealed on Ducati.com on the 12th of October.
