  • 2005 GSX-R1000 ofiiicially , 2005 ZZR600 too

the 2005 ZZR600 is nothing but old replaced ZX-6R ( 599cc not 636cc ) model replacing the old ZZR600/ZX-6E model

but behold the 2005 GSX-R1000 is here officially with picture from Suzuki , and thank goodness they didn't employ an underseat can .

Thanks for the pics of the '05 Gixxer Ricci... any idea on why they made that can so huge? I'm guessing they wanted to make a statement saying "Look everyone, we AINT doing underseat exhausts!!"

seems a MotoGP type exhaust clone to me - the size is actually not much bigger than before - looks shorter but wider diameter - but most interesting is the megaphonic section - earlier it was a startight pipe joining muffler , now its sorta 2 stroke like . Also seems angled inwards and closer to the body than before for better aerodynamics .

You're probably right Ricci... but cant really make out from this angle... could you perhaps get some more scoop pics?

@Ken : turns out I was right . That exhaust is actually closer to the body for better aero and lean angles ....but I kinda liked the old exhuast better . In fact old 2003/2004 bike looked lot better .

I agree wit you Ricci.... the new one does look kinda neat with that Titanium badge and color, but its just a bit too big for my choice... Other than the can, the rest of the body remains relatively unchanged from the previous years.
