The motorcycle is powered by a 798cc three-cylinder engine that powers the MV Agusta F3. That is probably the reason why even MV Agusta calls this motorcycle an everyday F3! It makes 110 bhp of power and 83 Nm of torque. The best part about the motorcycle is that it generates up to 90% of its torque from as low as 3,800 rpm! That is some serious backing of the statement that this motorcycle is an everyday F3! Power is transmitted to the rear-wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.
The front tyre is suspended using Marzocchi forks and on the rear, we have a Sachs monoshock unit. The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 continues the tradition of MV Agustas as it gets a single-sided swingarm. Braking duties are handled by radially-mounted twin discs at the front wheel and a single disc at the rear. Ergonomically the motorcycle is very comfy for riding long distances as the riding position is upright. Talking about long distances, the motorcycle gets a 21.5-litre fuel tank which should offer a respectable range for a motorcycle of this class.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 gets full-LED lighting and a digital instrument console on offer but India only gets the standard variant. The 800 Lusso, Lusso SCS and RC SCS (SCS is Smart Clutch System) are internationally available and are loaded with features like electronically controlled semi-active suspension setup, cruise control, heated grips, and panniers.
In India, the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 will go up against the likes of Triumph's Tiger 800 and Ducati's Multistrada 950. Everything else aside, the motorcycle sure is a looker and lives up to the Motorcycle Art tag of MV Agusta.
We rode the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 in Canada for 9,999 kms. You can read about that roadtrip here.
