The Multistrada has been around for 16 years now and has been one of the most popular models from Ducati. And more than the numbers, the following that the bike has is a testament to that. Referred to as a Ducati for many roads, the Multistrada really is that. And a Multistrada V4 in the lineup is only going to add to the popularity of the motorcycle.
Ducati has stated that the 100,000th unit was a 1260 Pikes Peak Edition which features a customized laser marking on the top yoke, and was built for German customer Dave Hayward. To celebrate such an important milestone, the bike was presented to Hayward by none other than Claudio Domenicali himself. Additionally, the laser etching on the top yoke of this very special Multistrada says that it is “Multistrada Centomila,” which alone sets it apart from every other Multistrada in existence.

About the Multistrada V4, the internet has been abuzz with the rumours of it but Ducati, with just one line, has put an end to all of it. It goes like this: Development is ongoing, and in 2021 the Multistrada family will expand to see the twin-cylinder 1260 and 950 motorcycles joined by a version with a new, specific V4 engine.
So yes, the Multistrada V4 is coming and it is official now. But we seriously doubt if we'll get to see one anytime soon... not this year anyway. In all probability, next year's EICMA will finally witness the arrival of the Multistrada V4. Till then, you can watch/read about some of our adventures aboard the Multistrada here:
