Look closely, the first picture caught while testing on road with camouflage has lot of similarities with this scoop pictures. It is new ZMA for sure.

        • I seriously hope this is not the new 09' karizma ! The fairing looks way too bloated rather than a expected sharper iteration of the older one. I'd take the old ZMA over this anyday(in styling).

          • if it's the new zma for sure then surely HH guys got to hire some new and good designers in their team. the front looks a direct take off from the Hayabusa and the back looks skinny as compared to the front. totally disproportional. Any confirmed news on when is it launching????

            • God is that the New 2009 ZMA---please where is the creative department in HH, please hire me u seriously need an HR

I have always loved the ZMA , refined engine, good looks, pratical and superb touring machine.

but with regards to competition, if HH feels just adding an odd fairing will do the job, then i guess u r very much wrong.

The front end looks more bulky, rear looks mutation of Xtreme and ZMA, can't say abt engine though..but it looks aweful, looks more of late 80's or early 90's style heavy fairing design. 2009 needs more than just a fairing , though i liked the color scheme , white and red

              • Guys, dont bash me for this, but the R15 also does look a bit disproportionate. But its only in certain angles, and is definately more proportionate and has better shaped fairings to suit its looks compared to this ZMA. Anyways, a good picture and the bike seen in flesh will give us a better dimension.

I only hope they dont mess up again, and finally the customer does have a few choices in the power segment.....
                You get the point?? :D

                  • Dissapointed But Happy

First look at the spy pic it gave a mod job of wannabe 'busa(same pearl white)!!!
But after a long period of time finally I think HH has woken up!
So after reading all the post in this thread we get
                    1. PGM-Fi
                    2.New Full Fairing
                    3.Clippons
                    4.Split Grab Rail(same as CBZ-xtreme)
5.LED tail lamp with integrated blinkers(straight rip from CBZ-Xtreme)
6.Same Stock tyres(as from pic my guess)
7.May Be Twin Headlamps(again my guess)
8.Same Speedo(sorry again my guess bt i m confident abt dis one coz if the fairin is like 'busa they wuld retain thier same old ana-digi speedo)

So what we get a all new KariZMA!!!
                    Yipeeee!!!
Expected Price must be 1lac OTR!!!

                    • All Guess nothing concrete.

                      1. No change in suspension set-up.
                      2. No change in Rims/ Tyre size.
                      3. No change in swingarm/ footpegs.
                      4. No change in front stopping power.
                      5. No change in engine/gearbox casing on the gear-lever side. So dim possibility of a new engine in the form of 180/200 cc bored-out version of Unicorn engine.

So I don't expect a big jump in performance.

                      Changes include:

                      1. Possibility of rear disc.
                      2. Absence of Fuel on/off switch (Possibility of FI System) .
                      3. Difference back-lights and mudguard.
                      4. Footpegs with metal ends.

Seems to be a major upgrade for more contemporary looks and meeting the competition (read R-15 and FZ) cosmetically. Power can be similar or 1-2 PS up from the current version. But this much power increase is/was always possible with just minor changes in compression, cam, ignition curve, less restriction from cat-con (since emission is taken care of by FI), etc.

Now, only still ambiguous area seems to be addition of liquid cooling for which let us wait and watch.

                      • Bajaj had their share of the limelight with the P220 Dts-i, Yamaha had theirs with the new Fazer, TVS with their RTR 180....Now its HH's turn!

Looks like HH is finally waking up to the Bajaj/TVS/Yamaha onslaught! I just hope they have really woken up and this is not just a yawn to rake in the numbers.

PGM-Fi is damn good move. Full faring dint appeal to me but it will work magic on the larger part of the bike buying population, I hope this thing has LC, but seems highly unlikely.

Good move from HH at the right time too, waiting for the official specs!

I hope they have added a few delicious bits of their CRF230's performance kits onto this bike, highly unlikely...but would be yumm to think about it!

Exactly the bike looks like its from the past than a new 2009 model...
I really suspect that this version of Zma is designed by some 70-90 year old design genius who always had an affection with 80's sport motorcycles

                            • ugh..

This bike looks fugly. I really hope this is a mod-job and not the actual bike. I remember that thread here called the poser diaries.. and this bike seems to have been designed by poser X himself..

hmm... lets put the biggest f'n fairing on my bike
hmm... Hayabusa is cool.. lets put that gfx here
hmm... lets color the shocks RED

unless that white shroud conceals some mind boggling specs, this bike will turn out to be a major disappointment

Sorry for the rant, but I was really looking forward to a new zma
