so shouldnt dream of it yet![8D]
hmmm , out here I see more Karizmas than 180DTSI's ...although Pulsar150DTSI's are plentiful . Which is saying something very contradictory .....

the indian bike market is improving for sure
some years back we cud only see n number of splendors on roads and very few CBz's

now see more Pulsars than splendors and victors

hope to see more comet like bikes than pulsars soon

Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don\'t. Some can\'t.

Read in todays TOI, it said Honda might launch bigger bikes sooner than some of us think!!
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike.
Then I realised that The Lord doesn't work that way,
so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

                  wow man
so we r going to see cool bikes starting next year
these japs want to capture the whole bike market for above 150cc
actually they have agreement with HH not to interfere in the below 150cc segment

the BAL and TVS guys need to think seriously about the japs
i hope they r planning to give a good fight

one thing we need to be glad about is that we r getting more and more cc bikes slowly and gradually
before CBZ was launched we could never have thought of riding a bike other than splendor or boxer stuff

gradually came CBZ, Fiero, FieroF2, Pulsar150, Pulsar180 and Karizma
and the technology behind these bikes is improving day by day due to competition

BAL guys wud take into consideration the sales trend of 180dtsi before launching any bike more than 180cc
similarly HH are struck at 225cc(the sales of ZMA wont encourage them to go for some 250-300 cc bike production even if they could)

had these big bikes been accepted and digested properly by the indian market we wud surely have seen better bikes (but that does nt seem to be the case with karizma atleast)

lets hope the response to comet provokes kinetic to import more of these bikes
and if we r lucky then BAL, HH and TVS guys may wake up and plan to exploit the >250cc segment
the evolution wud be driven barely by the sales figure and nothing else

so its all upto the rich guys to buy lots of bikes and create demand for the same ..... :-)(just kidding)

........ just an analysis from myside
                      ....corrections and suggestions are welcome

ya asith my correction do u think these comp launch their bikes(big bike ) to earn prft i think no!! it's jst th matter of brand image profits are taken care my commuetrs... so both comapanies bal and hhml are cuming with power bikes which actually wo'nt be compared with.....i hope i m clear here... thanx.... but both bikes nxt yr and hhml bike mid next yr.
                      thanx

                        u r right honda_rr
these companies might not be too concerned about the profit they get from the high end bikes

but one thing that bugs me is y they extract only 17bhp from a 223cc engine when they can get more and HH being an established company should be leading the way by launching some good stuff

                        just observe RXZ-135cc
in india its a 14bhp bike
                        in malaysia it s 19bhp

might be indian companies r overconcerned about fuel average
one way to work around the problem is to launch two variants of bikes - power and economical

in that way neither do they lose the commuting segment nor the power biking segment

correct me if i am wrong...

The news about the expected launch of the Honda power bikes is exhilarating.

I think it is a question of now or never for the Indian companies like HH Bajaj and TVS. Once the higher powered Honda bikes are in the market, the launches of the Indian made high powered bikes would become insignificant and they will have to remain restricted to sub 150cc models.

I'm sure Honda will have a thorough infrastructure in place for the support of the higher models that it is planning to launch. After all it is a question of their international reputation. And year after year they are only going to entrench themselves more and more firmly into Indian soil.

So Indian companies, if you are listening, pull up your socks. U need to plan the launch of the power bikes on a war footing or else forget about it and write off what ever u have spent on their R & D

i dont know y but i see glorius days for indian comapnies ahead

the entry of Honda wud mean that the companies wud fight more fiercely for market share and wud invest more on R&D and come out with a product better thatn it's rivals

it ll be "survival of the fastest" sort of competition which i strongly feel will be for the benefit of we the customers

we need to thank Honda for atleast trying to wake up the indian biking market which had gone to sleep long ago afer the RD was stopped

at same time i wud say : Welcome Suzuki (hope is adds more fuel to the fire of competition)

to add to my previous post...
the indian companies r safe enough until honda or suzuki decide to manufacture a 100cc,100kmpl,9bhp bike with monoshox and alloys and electric start for a price of 40K

other wise BAL should be pretty comfortable selling CT100 s and TVS selling its victors

HH ofcourse has looooooooong term securtity, thanx to splendor.
