    Good Post buddy... I remember posting prices from many countries just to make some people understand the wonderful job Bajaj has done for guys like us. But that didn't include the added costs.

    Kudos to Bajaj.... they helped me realize my dream.

    Answers to point 2 > You can decent tankpads from Orion motors (infront of Forum Mall Koramangala) or order from ebay.com (which I did).

    Point 6> The covers available here is infact a bullet cover. You can order from ebay.com .. I got a good cover for 710 bucks from ebay.

    Point 10> Asked a friend to bring the Xena disc lock from US. Getting it shipped from amazon or ebay is gonna cost a lot. But its really good. Scares away people who wanna "feel" your babe. Theres nothing there to fit, chk the link for details>

    Finally I paid the booking amount today at the Blore PBK center. Expecting the bike to be delivered in 90 days (Mr. J said it could come sooner) so fingers crossed. Gotta save up for the accessories now.

    The black ninja on display was placed on the ground and not on its regular pedestal. Mr. J was kind enough to let me sit on the bike again. Man it was so lovely. Was like a dream. Loved the ergonomics of the bike. Cant wait to ride it. Didnt feel a wee bit heavy despite the kerb weight of 172 kilos.

    I have to say that I am elated to be a part of this elite club of ninja owners and the other members as well.

    Below are a few queries that I have. Will be thankful if the Ninja owners could comment on it.

    9) 3M Scotchgard paintguard: Useful to keep the paint scratch free. But very pricey. -- can I avail this at the service center? How much do they charge? hopefully it doesnt screw up the paint quality.

    10) Xena alarm lock - lets a shrieking sound loud enough to puncture the ear-drums of would be thieves! -- where is this available and cost? will bajaj fit this on the bike for me?
    Will look forward to riding with the boys once my bike is delivered. thanks in anticipation for the replies.

    They are going to take a week further before they hand it over to me.
    Just one more week though

    My 'D' Day: Ninja 250r

    "Behold as the mystique enlightens to en wrap all, withhold as the prowess hit all... truly now 'Let the good times roll'!"

    The Kwacker was touted as one of the most awaited bike, much more then any hoarded wealth for serious performance bikers. After much anticipated wait of long 2 years, finally it hit the shore and for many including me it was a dream come true. The stout stance, the nimble eyes, the power band, the aesthetics... it carried all!

    The passion for 2 wheels ensued since long time back, a time (1995) when I couldn't even touch the ground with my bare foot but used to ride in circles near 'Beas' river side (Poanta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh), thereon I just gravitated more into the realm of bikes and biking. The first steed, my first lady love: 'Yamaha YBX', it was this bike that nurtured my true skills, honed my resistance for long rides, taught me the ABC's... wheelie, burnouts, skidding etc. Apart from ripping the throttle, I used to rip it off (rather strip it off completely )... tank, both tyres, lil body fairing, side panels.. except for the front fork assembly and the engine, the baby used to stand in complete diffidence, but she never knew that it was my utmost care for her (bearing check, lubrication, greasing, air filter cleaning etc).
    An emotional bond that we shared for years, but lastly, I had to part away with it... the time when I upgraded (upgrade, really??? need to re-think!) to Hero Honda CBZ (not the CBZ star or Xtreme).

    Apart from the aforementioned, the other steeds in my stable included Yamaha Fazer, Hero Honda Karizma, Pulsar 220 DTSfi (not the DTS i) and presently Yamaha R15 + riding experience of Karizma R, Pulsar 150UG1, Pulsar 180UG2, Yamaha RXZ, RX135, LML Energy and Bajaj Caliber 115s. In terms of personal choice and the 4 primers (at least for me).. Top Speed, Handling, Braking and Ergonomics the clear winner is the exemplary 'Yamaha R15', the technology embedded to such a puny cc bike is indeed awe-striken!

    Hence, I cannot part away with R15 and will be retaining it most likely forever, the greed for more never ends and to devour such need 'Ninja 250r' finally hit Bangalore (Bangalore was the only city where it was launched most lately, as there was no dedicated pro-biking showroom here). The gleam of Green hit me (Kawasaki's patent color) and I booked one.

    The inexorable waiting period of 88 days, where I drooled in dreams, had sleepless nights.... finally paid off and the 'D' day came:

    13\03\2010 Saturday 11:00 AM IST: There she was, covered, waiting gravely to get unfolded.. as was I to unleash the power!

    Ninja 250R will suffice my 25% need (250 cc counts 25% of 1000 cc ), shall live for the day till I get hands on the litre class (R1/Fireblade 1000RR/GSXR1000)... till time will enjoy the persona of the entry level sports bike: Ninja 250R.
