  • NEWS: MS Dhoni visits TVS; Test rides Apache RTR 180

/India PRwire/ - Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, today visited TVS Motor Company’s plant at Hosur. It was a personal visit as he wanted to test ride different models of TVS Motorcycles. He was very enthused to see the various models produced by TVS, including the very first moped that the company manufactured.

Dhoni voiced his specific interest in two stroke vehicles saying “I love the sound that these bikes produce. The exhaust tone is so different and pleasing”, while being shown around the company’s R&D facility.

At the test track Dhoni tested the newly launched Apache RTR 180 and also tried out one of the road racing models of TVS. “The experience is truly exhilarating”, Dhoni said after the ride.

He later addressed the employees of the company saying “this was truly an amazing experience for me. The various tests that are conducted on a motorcycle are truly amazing. The environment, the greenery and the discipline exhibited by you is truly commendable. During my walk through of the factory I could not help but noticed the passion that each employee shows in his work”.

“If invited again I would love to come provided cricket is not happening” he added.

Well its a Known News that Dhoni is an Biking Enthusiast,,,,,,
Since he has been alloted special Super Bikes when he visited Chennai for the first IPL Season in Chennai...
He was ripping through the Beach Roads in early Mornings creating Heavy Traffic Jams......

But i feel RTR180 would have been a small bike for him

Ridiculous news. TVS has just done this to promote their bikes.

What?? This is such an immature approach.

I own a P180 and still occassionally ride my friend's Caliber 115 and given the chance, many other even 100cc bikes too, just to get a feel and impression...
A true biker will wish to ride all sorts of machines. I might have tested all bikes right from HH Passion to Pulsar UG1 to Pulsar 150 UG2 to Karizma to the entire Apache Series ....

and some years down the line when I own a Sbk, I won't forget to spare time to go back to my roots, and ride some Star Cities at 40 kmph ...

Wow. Great news. But why stop here? Why don't we make a special section on this forum called "Celeb Mania" and post a 'News Flash' thread every time some celebrity sneezes, takes a dump or goes shopping for garments?

                      Seriously man, this ain't news.

He said that about TVS's 2 Strokes ... So, What's so funny??

We do know how 2 Strokes sound like, don't we? Of course, they have lovely exhaust notes, maybe not the speed afterall.
and about the second sentence, Well maybe that is overrated, unless he loved the racetrack ...

BTW I do agree that, this visit isn't exactly "News" ..
