actually i dint mean cheaper by price or quality...i was jst trying to say that FZ riders would benefit more form the type of upgrades i mentioned rather that the current ones.

    my bad...wrong choice of word.

i agree with Ranjith.. both R15 & Fz16 could use better cosmetic upgrades and Light upgrades at affordable prices which would make it a mass sell off.. these expensive kits are only for the few who are racing fanatics and are well trained in circuits.. its not much of a use to a common rider like us.
The R15 sure needs better lighting. The stock bulbs or high power after market halogens are not of much use on dark highways . Hope Yamaha is listening.

doesn't make sense spending such amt for a 70K bike

anyway if the FZ owners were so crazy abt performance to buy these kits woudnt they have got a R15 or P220 or at least a RTR in the first place?
Well to me the FZ is more like an SUV than a sports car. Its not about outright speed but rather having a great road presence with ample power to get out of a lot of situations in Style .

Great! Can you find out how much just the brake kit which includes:
                1) The bigger petal disc
                2) The brake caliper bracket
                3) The steel braided hose
                4) The Master cylinder

                cost?
                You get the point?? :D

That's the body kit price you quoted. I don't want the back-step kit and the sprocket options.

Just the new front brake related hardware. (Don't even need the steel braided line for the rear brake).
                    You get the point?? :D

will the race ecu + high lift cams without the exhausts produce any useful performance boost?
