      10 bucks more per liter!!!!
its better to save money by usin 93octane and in the end of each month use the saved money for maintainin the bike.
eg : if ya drive 1050kms per month and get 37kmpl using 93octane and 39kmpl using 97 octance , u end up saving app 200 bucks (for zma)

i beg to differ on mass consensus that speed97 will bring about insignificant difference to an indian bike. crap.

yes, it will not improve/repair a run-down engine; but on a well maintained engine the difference in refinement will be much appreciated; and greater/better engine life.

please do not asume this fuel to be good for sbks and such ilk only.

good diet is ALWAYS better, than a bad one.

speed97 heralds the recognition of demands from customers who want the best for their machines; albiet at a cost.

we must rather look forward to more NOT detuned-for-Indian-fuel-machines than offer global performance levels.

        thank you bpcl

        regards
        Farzan

ps. the first effect of speed97 is not on the machine but on your psychology - which will be generally responsible for the feel-good-factor.

@farzan: man pls use it in ur bikes & then let us know.

i still doubt abt any significant increase in performance ...
atmost wat it can do is best described as "feel-good-factor"...!

great news Koolsun216.......would try it in lightning 535, it has serious knocking problems, when speed was launched i switched to that but it dint affected much on the knocking front, then the launched Speed 93........well this one did work better but still there was some knocking.....

now my only resort is 97, lets see how this one works..........

hey ne info when it will be launched in delhi, or is it already launched?
hi octane fuels are not much of use in low compression bike, like RE's, but i dunno much about the comp ratio of L535.. if it's above 8:1 u can surely try out..

                  Speed 97 . . . big deal
High Octane 98 has been available in Navi Mumbai at a Reliance petrol pump very close to my house since months.
I filled it in my bike today. It costs 47.5/ltr.
Their 'plain unleaded' petrol is claimed to be 93 octane and costs 42.5/ltr

Looks like oil companies understand the taste of future better than the auto manufacturers in india, provision of such a good quality of fuels suggest that the oil companies knows that SBK and SC are the future taste and soon they will call for this kinda fuel.... I hope this understanding gets into the head of manufacuters also. Or else top segment will surely move out from there hand.
