Yeah that would mean significance bump in performance/efficiency.But it would mean complete redesigning of the engine head which might or might not work well as expected.

But i am expecting a 4 valve bike soon from TVS!!

I guess the 3 valve bike was launched recently called TVS Flame SR125...? It even had a cheesy advert of a mandir pujari saying 'ati uttam...'

Now another prefix (DS)? I'm confused...
            You get the point?? :D

Did Bajaj Auto lose the suit/case then?
I thought they were on the winning side!
This definately would be a bright situation for TVS to put the tech in it's premium models too!
But frankly, i don't think this much technology on a 125cc is justified!

                    P.S-
                    REMEMBER THE CENTRA?
                    HOW BADLY IT FLOPPED!

Keep the 125s simple, and go overboard with your 150+ segment!

I gun the throttle, the motorbike wails, the forks heave up, the revs climb, my view blurs, air gushes in my lid, muscles tighten, street lights streak. Just another day at work...

I don't think they would hurry upon that. The reason why it had to come in the Flame is that a 125cc is supposed to be an intermediate between commuter and power category and with the 3 port configuration it delivers the results. The dual spark plug is in place to help better combustion in a 3 port configuration as the cylinder shape & main spark plug position would not be effectively enough in this setup.

The twin spark plugs don't exist here to do better combustion and deliver better power as in Bajaj's DTSi's two port setup.

But frankly, i don't think this much technology on a 125cc is justified!
You cannot get results without better technology. Every company has Swirl induction and tumble flow in their bikes for a bunch of years now. Many of them are using special coatings inside the cylinder walls to reduce friction and to increase life. Digital Ignition, TPS, rocker roller arms, CV Carbs, Rectangular Box swing arms, paper air filters, oil filters, disc brakes... a few I can recollect that have contributed to better bikes in 100 - 125 cc segment in this decade.

People go gaa gaa over the Discover 100. Is it like "hum karein toh chamatkaar aur aap karein toh balatkaar"? We were speaking about the technology that actually helps deliver better bikes. Let us look at useless some stuff - Does a 100cc bike really need digital speedo (difficult to reed in sun light, tough for elder people, confusing number changes)? Does that need the LED tail lamp? Does that need such an aggressive front fairing? Does that need the DTS-Si with 5 gears where in a regular engined Designed in India Star City delivers better comfort, performance and efficiency with one plug and one cog less and costs less?

The point here is - show value to the customer and patao-fy him somehow. Bajaj managed to do that with the Disco 100. Then what is the problem? The bike sold big numbers means people liked it. And it was crammed with technology.
                      P.S-
                      REMEMBER THE CENTRA?
                      HOW BADLY IT FLOPPED!
The Centra was a good attempt in a non-appealing package. And then, it couldn't withstand the Bajaj & CT-100's charm & campaign. It would have sold hardly 25% numbers of what the CT-100 did. But I can still find some Centra's on the road - more number than the CT-100's.

Keep the 125s simple, and go overboard with your 150+ segment!
If they don't go overboard with every product they won't sell.
