  • Gujarat traffic cops go hi-tech..

I am not sure whether this piece of information fits here or not. So if Mods feel the need to relocate or change the thread please do the required. Any ways the news is as:
Nov 13 - Traffic policemen in Ahmedabad issue challans on their Blackberry phone. The instrument enables the police to access the entire history of the offender by feeding the name, vehicle number and license number into the phone.

I don't know what it means but as much as I know things have got tougher in already tough Ahmadabad. As long as I remember the cops are very strict there and its a bit too hard to get your way out with them even with money!

Probably someone locally located should elaborate on this topic!

That's a good move by the Gujarat Police. Will keep the crime rate under control.
