I think commuting short people needs a 125cc cruiser on the lines of Enticer and priced sub 50K. I am sure there is a scope for segmentization of a bike for short people. It may eat into scooter and entry level pie...just my thoughts..

All the news are about TVS

I think it's all about TVS
A bike and a Acooter already launched.
TVS Fiereo definately rocked its segment i think it would be relaunched.

Here's a good news for Bajaj Lovers

Decides to launch premium, entry-level bikes after competition hits high gear. After hitting a trough last year when its two-wheeler sales recorded the biggest fall in the industry, Pune-based two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto is looking to launch more products in the market in the near term in the entry and premium class. Its return of focus to the entry level segment is based on the recent success of the Discover model (where the company sold 100,000 units in 50 days), that is strapped with a less than 100cc engine but has a body of a bigger bike.

However, with rivals such as Japanese major Yamaha and Suzuki, as well as Indian heavyweight Hero Honda posting double-digit increases in demand for their range of premium bikes, experts say Bajaj is forced to bring out products in the premium segment to keep customer interest alive.
Its sales in the last financial year declined by 22.4 per cent to 1.4 million units, while the industry recorded a growth of 2.6 per cent, with market leader Hero Honda reporting a growth of 12 per cent at 3.64 million units.

Ref : Bajaj Auto to roll out more bikes

india is a price sesitive market...

one of the longest surviving speculation threads i've seen here in a long time.

i'm definitely lookin forward to the GTR250 being launched here.

                            wishing n hoping.

last rites? wat's up with the constant ninja price tag hostility? spilling over from ur ninja cost of ownership thread...

when compared to the comet... the ninja is just something else... ride quality... build quality... i've haven't ridden the new GTR250... just the old comet, don't know how the new GTR250 handles... but ninja is 'nicest' 250 around.

and most (all) owners would also say... definitely worth the 3 lac price tag!
no offence for the ninja.. its just that we are a price sensitive market.. my own experience with kinetic goes, there are quality issues on all their models whether its is bike's or scooters. they lived and survived for so long just because .. oh oh my my they are in India...... . guys a Rs 1.00 lakh difference on a bike of similar specs i repeat similar specs is hard to ignore, but any thing less than 50k its ninja all the way.
