They'll probably have to import some japenese bikes to do that . But hey, I'm not complaining if they do that.

Yes what you said is somehow right - but TVS works well because of thier Previous Relationships with SUZUKI....Suzuki Gave TVS the Edge to learn a lot...

All the Indian Manufacturers learned from the foreign manufacturers and they occupy the Indian Market...

Hero - learned things from Honda and still in Collobration
TVS - Learned from Suzuki and still in has contracts with AVL and other Foreighn Companies
Bajaj - Learned from Kawasaki and still in contract along with KTM

Well.. not exactly.. The 125 cc Flame with 3-valve and 2 sparkplugs setup was developed with the help of "AVL Austria".

Also the Scooty Hybrid has been developed with "Ricardo UK"

Even the ABS tech displayed at the Auto Expo has been developed with "Continental AG Germany"

Auto major Mahindra & Mahindra said on Friday it will foray into the motorcycle segment with a full range of products by this year even as it will take a final call on continuation of its joint venture with French car maker Renault within the next 45 days.
Full range of products? Within this year's end?

This is possible if they are working on it, from the previous years. Because, a manufacturer with no motorcycle right now, are quite ambitious if they say "full range of products" by the year's end...

By the way, I wonder what is this full range? 100-220cc? or 100-150cc?
