Visited with my Credit Card in hand, already to spend money. Had trouble getting into the store. It was around 6pm but eventually got in. They were unable to give prices on the riding gear. Response was 'they will have more info such as price after 1st Oct'. Left my business card asking them to call me once they had stock and prices. Will be interesting to see if I receive a call back.

not just that they're not even giving exact dates of when they'll start test rides. if the showroom has five salespeaople then each one gives a different date. They're like d**s. You show them the bone(read:booking amount) they come running and you ask them for a test ride and they run away like they heard a fire cracker burst.

A couple of more people here mentioned as to how callous the attitude of yamaha salespeople has been. This one apparently has a 'Factory' of it

that's bad news man.... such administration will not take yamaha anywhere... i don't know who is responsible for such behavior from those guys.. but the senior executives at yamaha sure need to look into this.

Well the problem lies with the lower order. they even have a couple of chicks as salesperson. it somehow seems to go well with the aesthetics of the showroom. You ask her a question and she cannot answer anything beyond the product brochure. At this point she'll get a guy, another sales rep to inform more. he will play around with the question and give a vague answer.

Probably the owner or the manager of the showroom is the only one who seems passionate about bikes as such. The rest of the lower order is the credit card sales rep turned bike sales rep. As long as they get someone to book a vehicle their job is done. The only ways they can sell the bike is the look or the top speed or the mileage. An uncommon question makes their gears slip.

now i feel pissed off man .... being someone who gets to be with such beauties(read:bikes and not babes ) day in an out and not having the passion for them like you and me is itself a crime.... i pity those Rs, MTs and FZs with such fools lurking around them.

by the way what is the waiting period if one wishes to book a FZ today?

precisely what me and another friend of mine felt. i mean if they paid us well we would have sold those bikes like we would love to see someone worth owning them own it. Those guys act so pricey when giving a test ride of the r15 like they own the showroom. And man they have an ego as big as the MT exhaust cans.

The last time we asked, one guy said one month 17 days ...i think they'll hatch some FZs in those 17 special days. Another friend was given a waiting period of 3 months. can you believe that? i mean have we seen a waiting period like that before?not that i know of. someone could shed some light into this.

I just hope their after sales service is not as bad as this. They have this jazzed up showroom and a gleamy service center in the background. i just hope there's more to them than it meets the eye (read:transformers)

Hey guys.. I had a real bad experience with that showroom...
That's just nothing but Show off..

I own an R15.. I bought my bike from Thomsun Auto and not the factory shop. But then when my friend wanted to buy the same bike, he thought of going to the factory shop instead of any dealer expecting better service and efficiency.

                              BUT IT WAS COMPLETELY OPPOSITE.

First of all at the time of booking no one seemed helpful.. Everyone seemed to give different dates for the delivery. My friend wanted a special number(RTO), and for this as well every one was quoting different prices.

Initially we were told that there's no waiting for R15 and u'll get the bike within 5 working days after booking. But again they postponed the delivery date on their own accord.

Still we were fine. But what pissed us off the most was on the day of delivery.

We stay at Dadar, so we wanted the bikes to b handed over to us before the evening traffic hours. We requested the same to them but they said that delivery times r 3pm-6pm.. We asked to deliver the bike as soon as possible within that period..

He asked up to come there at 6. We went there at 5.30 instead. Coz we knew how sluggish there work is..

And unbelivably till 8.00 they just made us to sit and wait..nothing else. Everyone was busy with their own chores. At 8 they showed us our bike in the service station. We went in to check the bike. And believe me guys, the bike was in such pathetic condition that my 2 months old bike looked newer. We upon inspection found many damages to the bike.
                              1) The stickering on the right front fairing was damaged. It was cut in between.

                              2) there were minor scratches on the body of bike at several places.

                              3) the brake paddle already started rusting.

                              4) The bolt on the exhuast cover was bent and the alignment of that cover was disturbed.

If i was the one buying the bike i wudnt hav taken that bike and asked them to completely replace the bike, but my friend was ok getting the same bike with just damaged parts changed.

So it took another hour or so for us to get all those parts changed.

I had a big argument with the head of department, i forgot his name...

The most annoying members of the showroom are the executive -Raj Kumar and one of the lady excutives, i dont know her name.

Then at the final minute of delivery we again found out that the right side indicator wasnt working. So another 15 mins repairing it.

Finally we got the bike at around 10 or so.

These guys arent even clear with the paper work.
When i had booked the bike i got all the papers including insurance papers within 7 days of bike's delivery.

These guys hav not given the tax reciept nor the insurance papers.
I had to argue n make them agree to send those paper by courier to our place instead of we coming so far again to collect them.

IN MY PERSONAL OPINION I WILL NEVER SUGGEST SOMEONE TO GO AND BUY THE BIKE FROM THEM. "MY PERSONAL OPINION "is the most imp part. Some one else may b happy with their service so no offence.

WE GUYS ARENT EVEN SENDING OUR BIKE SFOR SERVICING AT THERE SHOP.
I ON THE OTHER HAND FOUND THOMSUN'S SERVICE CENTER BETTER THAN THESE GUYS. EVEN IF IT IS SMALL BUT U CAN ACTUALLY SEE UR BIKE GETTING SERVICED IF U R READY TO WAIT FOR THOSE 1-1.5 HOURS.

For various reasons i had put on hold my plan to buy the FZ (dint seem feasible, waiting period, other new bikes, performance doubts etc). This excuse of a showroom had me wondering abt the reliability of after sales looking at the pre sales 'efforts'.

i think your friend should write to yamaha about this. may be something will happen.

by the way, where is this Thomsun Yamaha located. Could you provide the exact address.
