interesting stuff... may be it would be 2 to 3 years from now to see a VW badged 2 wheeler.

Suzuki has built a stream of steady income based on licensing their cars to be re-badged and sold by many other brands.

Nissan Pixo (Suzuki Alto/AStar = Mazda Carol MK VI) was generating good revenue for both Nissan and Suzuki.
Same with Opel Agila (Suzuki WagonR) for GM already seems to have been lost as GM is trying to develop a newer car themselves.
Not to forget the Fiat Sedici based on the SX4.
Chevrolet Optra (Daewoo Nubira = Suzuki Forenza)
Subaru Justy = Suzuki Alto (1st Gen) = Suzuki Cultus (2nd Gen, our Esteem) = Suzuki Ignis (3rd Gen)= Chevrolet Cruze (1st Gen)
Chevrolet Sprint = Suzuki Swift
Chevrolet Tracker = Suzuki Vitara
Mazda Carol MK IV = Suzuki Alto = Maruti Suzuki Alto



... a few that I know of!
But with the GM - Suzuki agreement coming to an end, most of those re-badged cars are dead.

Hope these things don't get cut off completely before Suzuki has some serious revenue flowing in via the VW tie-up and of course get some good diesel engines apart from high-end VW cars to be sold as re-badged Suzuki's.

Hey man..........aint this VW owns brands like Bugatti,Porsche,Lamborghini and Audi.And also the likes of Bentley.What are you trying to tell me-Suzuki is gonna end up within this list too !!!!!!...........U people have any idea of what that means ???????
As if Hayabusa was the only bike to give that Veyron the chase on an open straight........and it only got better with cousins.
This news just confirms that the future of automobile industry is bright,despite pollution,emission,recession,global warming n all.

They meant that the Pixo did very well for them that it is foolishness to stop production and get away with it if Suzuki doesn't supply them and that they will make the next model somehow.

i think VW is just playing with Jap Giant.
they are aquiring these companies beacuse to gain the spot in the small car fight and the efficient engines that are available..

Designer Nils Poschwatta has conceptualised bikes for VW. Just in case it wants to make bikes.
