It cant be a Er250-F (If they could make something like that.) because it will get too expensive. It has to be jointly done. So.. a Kawasaki Bajaj Rouser 250 Supersport Full-Faired, 25-26bhp. Preferably Fuel Injected. With more low-end Mid-range and less top-end as compared to Ninja 250R. Bingo! 2 bikes of same cc/looks different target audiences.
You are somewhat right in the strategy, but I doubt it would be a fully faired one.

A V-twin Pulsar 250 with Full fairing, twin projectors and Fuel Injection at 2Lacish price range.

I wonder who will go for Ninja 250 than?

                    hey

                    hey all,

i have been following up threads at xbhp almost daily and it has been a year.. though i didnt replied ever :P

as far as quarter litre kwacker is concerned, here is something that adds to the story.

I am working in nestle, so have to visit pantnagar plant time and again. I have a friend at Bajaj pantnagar also. we discuss a lot during our meetings. He first disclosed about a 135 cc stunner which eventually was a true piece of information (P135). also, a couple of months back he told me about 2 bikes. a 250 cc kwacker cruiser for sure this year, and a 220cc avenger. this is in line of bajaj's plan to cater growing cruiser demands. nothing else was confirmed.

I hope it doesnt adds to the speculations, it hopefully turns out to be true

A 220 Avenger, wonder why Bajaj like to upgrade engines by 20 cc all time.!

I guess that's the maximum Bajaj can bore its existing single cylinder engines to! Any more boring and the pistons are going to be out of the engine...

I think the reason for the 220 cc avenger is that they already have a 220 cc engine. the plonked it in the P200, now they are doing the same thing with Avenger 200. No use producing the 200cc mill for exclusively small no.s of the avenger and increasing production cost unnecessarily when they can actually provide a better engine for similar production costs.

it was bound to happen, it started with 180 engine from kawasaki, then to reduce the cost came the home grown 180, then 200 now as the 200 is discontinued bajaj WILL plonk 220CC engine in that.

They re very efficient in this one size fits all approach, I don't know if this is true or now but one of me friends was saying the pulsar mill is used in the 4 stroke Bajaj auto rickshaws as well.

Maybe it is.. in a different state of tune.. Coz, the bajaj RE is approx 175cc 4S air cooled single... thats alarmingly close to our very own P180..
