Ken Sir, I'm very sure you've read, but that post was meant for people who kept saying news were unreliable. I couldn't help believing it since the news was from a reputed national daily.Originally posted by ken cool View PostI read that piece of news y'day at home!
Govt is just beginning to think about reducing the tariff & the commerce secretary has opened up on this. To me, this is scary as well as rejoice, I've mixed feeling & here're why...
Pros on Tariff's reduced
1. Govt, manufacturer, fuel pumps owners & oil companies makes more money as the affordability level increases
2. The real enthusiasts are at benefit
Cons on Tariff's reduced
1. Obviously, more motorcycles & cars flocking on road because of the price reduction (by how much reduction is good debate for a new thread)
2. The infrastructure is still not equipped
3. The rides/drivers are going even backwards to stone age
- this is the most shreiking part for me & imagine a freaking cab driver loaning on 883XL; when they drive Indica like Audi in Transporter 3, imagine the pity people on road, flooded courts & jails

Although aargee, I do agree with your points. But, I differ on some thoughts:
Premium bikes may get cheaper, but small market is also a factor for them.
However, I forecast that cheaper bikes from other countries, like Honda 70cc from Pakistan, Thailand, etc. might really make a dent, as we are still a cost crazy nation, majorly speaking..---
