Bajaj Auto is planning to re-launch the 150cc model of Discover model in the Indian market. The model is expected to have better fuel efficiency than Pulsar 150 and will be targeted towards the commuter segment in the country. The bike will be placed between Pulsar 135 LS and Pulsar 150 with a power of 14.1 PS and 12.8 Nm of torque.
Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto had earlier hinted that the company will be launching something big on May 10 and the new Bajaj Discover 150 can be the next big thing from Bajaj Auto in the Indian market. Bajaj plans to entice the 150cc buyers by featuring a price tag significantly lower than Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 is considered to be a little sporty and expensive by several Indian buyers. Bajaj does not have a strategy to introduce several variants in a single segment which compete with each other. Thus, the new Bajaj Discover 150 is expected to sport features that may make it exclusive from other models from the company.
