Motorcycles
LML has taken a courageous decision to venture into the fast growing but equally competitive motorcycle market. For this it has tied up with Daelim of Korea. It has around five four-stroke models lined up for launch. These include the 100cc 'TW Sport', 'TW Original', 'TW Grand', 125cc 'Inferno' and the 150cc 'Terminator Daystar'. However, the launch schedule, which was to start from early 2000 was postponed, and the company has just now stepped into the market by selling 21 motorcycles in the first quarter of FY01. LML has targeted sales of around 7,000 units for fiscal 2001. As the present plant capacity utilization levels are around 75%, the existing Kanpur facility will be used to manufacture motorcycles.

LML has no reason to stay in the scooter market, especially when it's broken up with Piaggio! But read somewhere that they still have one model left from the Vespa range to launch in India, known as the 'Clipper'. The Daystar looks better than the Enticer, but the engine is a 125! And that's not good! I wonder when our bikes will sport full fairings and not the half fairings that the Adreno brought! Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do, what they need is one reason why they can.

guys in 1999, if things would have gone lml way..they were about to launch a full fairing 135cc bike named vr135. it was 12bhp with top speed claimed at 110.
Also in 100cc category freedom is a good bike. Thought energy and adreno failed but lml do took a bold step in providing fat rear tyres, disc brakes, electric start and 5 gears to bikes in 100cc category. It was their lack of exp in bikes that those two bikes flopped. But then they did not that bad job with energy fx and adreno fx.
I didn't knew about the 180cc bike from lml. I have read that they were planing to launch a 125cc 12bhp liquid cooled bike.
Any pointers for 180cc bike from lml?2000 Suzuki Fiero | 2004 Bullet Electra | 2004 RX135 | 2005 CBZ | 2009 Karizma | 2009 Punto 1.4 Petrol | 2011 Yamaha YZF-R15
Nav is back !!!
